Hops with an American accent. Disarmingly drinkable.

I enjoy many of the brews from Capital and I added this to my sampler 6 pack during my last visit to the brewery. This pale ale is OK, but nothing to write home about. There are many other offerings from Capital that I prefer more.

Yellow-orange with a white head. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some pine and orange citrus notes mixed in with some bready malt. Flavor is full of orange citrus and bread. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Can thanks to Sarah! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of pine and grassy hops with a touch of citrus and a nice light grain backing. Flavor is much more mild with just a bit of grass and a bit of sweet grains.

12 oz bottle pours an almost clear orange with small white head but good lacing. Aroma is of piney and citrus hops with a good caramel malt backbone, but nothing overpowering. Flavor is malty without much of a finish. Light to medium body. A good APA but nothing I’ll remember.

Bottle. Orange/yellow pour with white head and a lot of lacing. Smells of citrus hops with strong citrus hop flavor. Decent pale ale.

Bottle from sampler rack at PW. Pours clear golden orange with thin white head. Mildly hoppy, floral nose. Initial taste isn’t as bitter / hoppy as you’d usually expect from a typical pale. Not bad but far from outstanding...pleasant.

Clear medium amber with a persistent head and splashes of lace. The taste is a crisp, clean caramel malt, followed with a light, but clear, hop finish. Doesn’t sound like much, but it makes a fine, easy-drinking brew. Don’t expect the world, just a good easy-drinking beer. Recommended.

Pours gold with a thin white head that has decent retention. Aroma is mostly citrus, some pine, toast and caramel. Flavor is caramel, citus and cookie dough up front, then a nice toast and cereal grain comes in alon with a some pine to finish it out along with a bread dough, toast and citrus fade. Palate is fairly light and crisp with a creamy entry, off dry finish and light, spritzy carbonation. Nice pale ale, decently hoppy, but has a nice, full malt profile without being overly sweet. It has a nice, clean, crisp and refreshing palate to boot. Awesomely balanced, nice summer quencher for sure.

Bottle. Clear yellow gold pour, white head. This one is pretty dull - nothing really standing out in this. Just a bland pale.
