Nice introduction to hops for a macro drinker. Easy drinking session ale, the firm cascadeyness scrubs away any sense of maltiness pretty quickly though.

Pours a clear golden color with thin, white, fizzy head. Aroma is like floral hops and subtle malt backbone. Taste is floral hops, light biscuit and slight citrus. Easy drinking and well carbonated. This would be an excellent lawnmower beer.

Pours a clean light golden color. Aroma is slightly floral hops but not too complex or strong. Taste is carbonated with decent bitterness up front and finishes slightly malty, with minor citrus and caramel notes. Very drinkable and refreshing brew from the brewery next door.

Bottle from Buckybeer. Thie shit is good. Pretty gold color with nice carbonation. Light malty and strong flowery hop taste and aroma. Citrus dry bitter finish. Smooth and drinkable.

Gold color. Smell of hops, malt, light pine and citrus, flowers and some caramel. Taste of caramel, minor citrus, hops, flowers, honey, pine and a little pine. Decent.

12 oz bottle. Pours a light, slightly amber gold color. Thick citrus aroma gives a hint of the definite grapefruit flavors. Spicy, not a particularly strong hops flavor. Slightly bitter, less than other American Pale Ales. A bit oily on the palate. All in all a delicious beer that I would come back to.

12/01/2007: U.S. Pale Ale has a "pretty" (according to my wife) golden color. It is extremely clear and has a moderate level of carbonation and a fluffy off-white head. Sweet honey malt and some floral hops blossom out of the aroma. The flavor is adequately hoppy for an American Pale Ale. There are lots hop flavors including floral, pine, and hints of grassy and spicy hops (noble-like) along with some honey and pale malt notes throughout. The body of this beer is medium and it is smooth and pretty soft and mellow on the palate. Overall this is a solid American Pale Ale. It is quite flavorful and refreshing without being too heavy, hoppy, or bitter.

12 fl. oz. bottle from buckybeer. Thanks Mark! Rating #18 for this beer...

Light golden to straw color. Smallish off-white head. Head caramel malt aromas with light citric zest and a touch of pine wood. Full feel with tight bubbles that carry it across the palate. Fairly dry, in that there is not much sweetness to this one. Some light caramel and a touch of bread dough that is displaced quite quickly by grapefruit zest. I touch too bitter for for my palate, at least without some more sweetness and malt to back it up. Light pine wood come back in at the finish and linger. Needs some more sweet malt or hops flavors to liven this one up. As I’m near the end, things have warmed up a touch and the flavors do seem to be coming out some more. I’ll need to re-evaluate with another bottle soon. Re-evaluated the next day. Still seems like a premium lager with an ale yeast. not enough malt depth.
