COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of the most unique beers brewed in the United States. A fine, almost nutty flavor complimented by a smooth hop character that combine to make excellent drinkability.

So they brought back the wild rice. Cool. I shared a bottle with a couple friends and didn’t take notes, but rated it in my head. Aroma wasn’t promising...hints of corn with a slight earthy twist. Golden appearance with a nice white head, lots of tiny bubbles. Flavor was good, some of the rice comes through as slightly nutty. Very smooth on the palate, great soft carbination. I’ll have another soon.

Had this at the bierstube in 2001. Remember it to have been crisp and light bodied, with a bit of complexity, that I attributed to the wild rice. It was my first wild rice beer, and my first visit to the bier stube so I’ll give it nostalgia points.

Excellent. Reminds me a bit of a buckwheat beer I once had--a tad fruity, a tad nutty, quite complex. Dances that line between refreshing and challenging.

Most breweries are ashamed of brewing with rice, but not so the good folks at Capital Brewery. The wild rice -- which really isn’t a rice, but rather a long grain -- adds a lightness to the brew, while thew hops add just the right amount of bitterness. A great summer beer.

Nice orange/copper color. Very smooth mouth feel. Alot of malt sweetness with a balance of ’sweet’ noble hops. Another great brew from Capital.
