COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pleasingly warming beer with it's amber hue showing off it's rich malt heritage. Mildly bittered with a smooth hop flavor complementing the malt. Winter Skal makes a person welcome the onslaught of the cold. Available November through January.

Beer has a nice copper color but has very little head and low, very fine carbonation. Aroma has caramel notes and is a very candy sweet with a bit of apple/pear fruitiness. The beer starting has a lot of caramel flavor, middle has bitter earthy and citrus hops flavor and finishes with a sweet fruity-dry flavor. Medium mouth feel. Overall, this beer is pretty but something I would buy every once in a while.

12 oz bottle from Steve’s in WI. Pours a clear copper amber color with a creamy beige head. Lots of malt in the nose, bready, and sweet. Simple lightly sweet and malty flavors that follow the nose. Nothing bad but nothing too good about it either. There may be a trace of hops in the finish, but its hardly noticeable, in fact I don’t even know if it notice it.

drank this a while ago. I remeber it being fairly smooth. Drinkable for sure. Poured a light amber color with a white head, aroma was pleasing. Some hops but not a ton. I enjoyed this beer but didn’t blow me away!

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2008 Pours a bubbly amber copper with a smallish white film head. Aroma is sweet grains, light caramel, bread and a bit spicy. Flavor is lightly sweet, bready and light caramel. Light to medium bodied, slick texture. Long astringent and medium sweet finish.

Bottle into Lager glass. Poured an amber-brow-dull copper with a fluffy, light tan head. Lacing was so-so. Aroma was a spicy, bready malt and bakery items. Flavor was no terribly distinguishing, although still rather enjoyable: basically a follow through on the promise found in the nose. A light frshly bitter hoppiness showed up near th end of the flavor for an interesting contrast. The mouthfeel was slightly astringent and light. Overall, nice enough to have been worth the calories. I’d probably drink again on tap.

Poured a dark reddish brown colour, with a medium sized tan head. Aroma has something of vanilla, lightly toasted malts and a little caramel. Mouthfeel is light and creamy, taste is soft and mildly acidic. finishes long.
