COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pleasingly warming beer with it's amber hue showing off it's rich malt heritage. Mildly bittered with a smooth hop flavor complementing the malt. Winter Skal makes a person welcome the onslaught of the cold. Available November through January.

Rich gold with light white head. Faint nose with some light hops. Light mouthfeel with sweet/bitter finish(light). Light roasted flavors with some carmel and candy notes. Nice light brew though not much of a winter warmer!

Very large rocky head. Copper colored. Strange chemical aroma with malt. Flavor is malt, sweet carmel, and a bitter hop finish.

Bottlefrom Ughsmash (thanks!) - copper body with a tiny ring of lace - weak, herbal aroma, with a light, doughy sweetness - lightly sweet, with hints of vegetable and a faint hop profile - lingering breadiness in the finish -fairly unimpressive.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

carmels in complex, dusty, hops of the brushy order, lightly peppery, maybe some mild nut spice, somewhat creamy, pale, clear, amber oragne, a non-traditional holiday beer. hmmm...

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2011 Fairly spicy and moderately roasted with a touch of hops are the primary characteristics of this medium bodied beer. I was surprised they called it a Vienna on here. Also somewhat strong alcohol note for its somewhat restrained ABV.

Bottle sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Caramel and winter spices with loads of cereal grains packed in. Drinkable, but nothing too special.

12 oz twist off bottle. It pours an amber/orange, like an oktoberfest. The smell is clean with a big grainy smell. There is a hint of diacetyl in the smell, it smells buttery. The taste is very basic, the diacetyl is still there though. It is basic and grainy. This beer is about as basic as it gets, with little flavor. Like a watered down butterier oktoberfest beer.
