COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A solid, malt emphasized lager, the firey hued richness perfectly balanced by clean hop bittering.

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2005 This would make an excellent session brew-very sweet aroma with a sweet malt palate-finish is hoppy, but subtle. This is a good and interesting beer, but there are so many of this style. This beer is pretty hoppy for a Vienna. nice sweet caramel malt notes throught the palate. a well balanced session lager. this beer pours orange with a small white head. aroma of sweet malts and light citric hops.

Pleasant sweet hoppy aroma. Very well balanced flavor and a crisp sweet finish. Very good example of an amber ale.

Had this brew in a bottle. Light nose of caramel and flowers. Pours a sparkling copper. The off-white creamy head is mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Malty start, floral middle, long bittersweet caramel finish. Moderate acidity. The medium creamy body has a lively amount of carbonation bordering on fizzy. The finish feels astringent. Must allow the brew to warm 10 degrees or so from the fridge to get a full grasp of the aroma and flavor.

Orange amber color with a moderate off white head. Mild hops and caramel aroma. Light caramel in the flavor tending to a moderate bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Is the beer half full or half empty. Ok, well now the beer is all gone, so I need another.

well balanced amber...detected a bit more hop presence than malt, so thatís a plus in my book! clear golden with a thin head...no lacing

Great head on this one. Itís hard to be extremely distinctive as an amber, tho. Nicely balanced bitterness.

the pick of the litter from among the capital sample pack of eight. generally respectable beers, only a couple duds, nothing too daring or bold. tsk. well, they have twist-off caps, whataya expect? this one is tobacco leaf toasty amber, dutiful head doesnít bail after the first act. good balanced nose of floral hops and toffee, peach and toast. makes a big to-do upfront about how itís gonna be sweet, then hops bring on a mood swing that cajoles it back to bitter semi-dry. all that makes for an engaging drama on the tongue. like so many hollywood movies, i was very entertained, but i probably wonít remember it next week.

A nice richly malted beer. Good hops that are restrained but better than mild. Good texture too.

Decent, middle of the road stuff. Semi-sweet, light, malty flavor, balanced by a hint of hop bitterness. Nothing too interesting, but not bad.
