Decent, middle of the road stuff. Semi-sweet, light, malty flavor, balanced by a hint of hop bitterness. Nothing too interesting, but not bad.

Good bready smell. Taste is initially creamy medicinal and licking sweet. More personality than a lager fer sure. has a few rude ale characteristics. Same on finish; almost cloying.
2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2012
Candied, woody APA/Amber aroma. Almost-clear, woody amber, good bottle cap, decent label, twistoff. A little bland and starch-watery, not very bitter, nutty sweetness. Meh, fair. ABC Betton.

4/20/12. 12oz bottle. Clear light amber pour, almost a bit orange, with a thick, creamy khaki head that cuts but lingers and laces in rings. Mild aroma of toasted bread, caramel, and grains. Plain, but unoffensive. Sweeter flavor up front with plenty of caramel which transfers into fresh bread and a bit of a fruity/floral aspect. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2012 This is an enjoyable amber. Nice caramel malty aroma and a clear red appearance with a soft white head. Taste mirrors the aroma and appearance. Notes of cereal and bread with a slight caramel sweetness. Drinkable session amber.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts, brown sugar, nuts, tea, caramel, and a hint of earthy hops. Flavor is pretty much the same, with caramel and toasted malts, brown sugar, earthy hops, and nuts. Light-bodied, with a toasty, dry mouthfeel and low-medium carbonation. Nice.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle is clear red with thin white head, aroma brought notes of caramel some slight grass and grainy notes to it, hints of biscuit, yeast, some spice as well. Taste is pretty caramel forward, hints of spice and grass, touch of yeasty notes finishing fairly clean, slight hop bite as well.

I had this on-tap at Wedges in Janesville, WI for $3 in early 2012.
Pours a semi-cloudy amber color with about an inch of a frothy white head. Scent of toasted malts and caramel malts. The taste is mostly of toast malts that are slightly crisp and bitter mixed with some hints of citrus as well. Finishes with a slight dry after taste. Definitely much better than I was expecting. An overall great amber brew!

Nice pinkish gold clear color.
quick diminishing head.
smells like strong lager light beer like aroma but with a faint light sweet malt aroma, fresh light clean distinct yeast aroma.
Nice crisp bright taste with some sharp citrus hop tones, very clean sessionable quenching drinkable with a mild malt taste and mild malty sweetness. This would be great in a can to sit around a fire with and to eat with. Finishes crisp citrusy with some of the maltiness-light and clean with a mild sweetness.

Spot-on for the style: medium body and medium malty sweetness. A hint of caramel in the nose and a mild slap of hoppy bitterness on the finish. Goes perfectly with my wife’s fabulous lasagna.
