pours a golden orange with a 11/2 finger fluffy off white head. aroma is caramel malt with a touch of hops and orange. has a light to medium body with descent lacing and great carbonation. flavor is the same as aroma, but more of a toasted malt than caramel. not bad.

Aug 27, 2008 Clear copper color with orange tinted foam. Caramel aroma. Flavor offers plenty of unmalted barley along with toffee and fruit. Hops increase as the beer warms as do spices. Dry bitterness. Enjoyable and easy to drink. Nice beer.

Aug 20, 2008 Pretty mild amber. Flavors included some light sweet malt, light caramel, and mild hop bitterness. Smooth body but not a lot of flavor overall. Decent brew but not worth a second buy.

7/14/2008: Wisconsin Amber pours a nice, orangy-amber color with a creamy, mostly lasting beige head that creates good lacing on the glass. The carbonation is lazy and contributes to smoothness and creaminess of the medium body. The aroma and flavor both have a pronounced citrus/candy orange quality. The toffee-flavored maltiness works well with the mild bitterness. Again, this is a quite impressive amber ale and better than expected. It is very different in flavor to the Keweenaw Red Jacket Amber Ale that I had just prior to cracking open this can of Capital Wisconsin Amber, but it is still just as good for different reasons. It could site down with a case of either and enjoy the beer quite thoroughly from the first can to the last!
