3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask, Shirlington location Dec. ’10. Hazy burnt tawny brown with a slightly tan head. Lots of passion fruits in the aroma, along with grapefruit, and slightly sweet malts. Passion fruit and grapefruit continue to the flavor, but a hint of garlic sneaks in which detracts. Medium body, subtle carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at The Brickskeller on December 9, 2010. Brewed to celebrate their 2000th batch.
Pours an orangish copper color with a half-finger head that recedes really quickly and doesn’t leave any lacing behind, just a bit of a light collar around the edges of the brew. The nose brings citrus and a bit of resin. The brewer told us this was Cascade and Citra, but I really couldn’t pick out any of the latter at all.
The flavor brought a good deal of character, almost bordering on a fresh-hopped green taste. Also a bit of orange grapefruit plus some rind. Medium-bodied with a nice, dry finish, this was probably the best beer of this "holiday" event.
