3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Foxbush (761) - Richmond, USA - AUG 26, 2006
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2010 This was one of the best suprises of the Richbrau Beer Festival. The modest bitterness was like an APA and so well balanced. I learned much about this brewpub in the DC area. They will be doing some promotion at The Capital Ale house. The medium body with a floral aroma. I will look to see this one again. This was tasted again at the Shirlington restaurant in June 2010. It was the best of two beers. It poured a dark amber and was better than their APA. Nice finish!

Pours dark amber with a slight haze. Deep earthy malt and caramel aroma. Little hop character. More like a brown ale but still very drinkable. Good match for pub grub.

Amber pour. A nice, solid beer with caramel and hop flavors balanced nicely. Nothing outstanding but it also isn’t all that lacking. Just a good beer.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 DiarmaidBHK (1527) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 14, 2011
Not a ton of hop aroma. Pours brown with a light head that leaves no lacing. Surprising given it’s color that there isn’t much malt action on the tongue although there is some hoppiness. The taste tends to wash away at the finish.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Nickls (1343) - SE DC, Washington DC, USA - APR 14, 2011
Tap. Really no head, but deep copper brown that’s tanslucent. Citrusy hops, earthy, and caramel in the aroma. Decently hoppy, and fairly dry. Bit of grapefruit, which is nice. Medium body with soft carbonation. Not that bad.
