2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Downtown location 16oz ($3.50): I guess this is the right rating place: called Belgian Cherry when I was there. Anyway it poured a reddish color with no head. Aroma was of cherries and amber ale nonsense. Watery and mediocre. Kind of sweet. This is like a bad imitation of Belgian ale and it really doesn’t work. Imagine a really bad version of Rare Vos, with artificial cherry flavor. Yeah. grand.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap at the brewpub. pours a light copper cloudy color. incredibly sweet flavor. seques into a fruity tartness. flavors of raspberry, cherry and plum. the body and finish are thin; residual aldehyde. the aroma is of berries. the beer has as thin white head. tangy entrance on tongue that tastes like raspberry jolly rancher.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A heavily hazed amber with a decidedly pink influence. The head is a bit on the sticky side. The aroma makes the fruit of choice obvious. There may be a bit of belgian yeasty spice underneath, but I can’t tell with the fruit up front. Lightly sweet, a little fizzy. Good fruit, a touch of tartness. Not a whole lot other than the fruit though.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh.
Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment.
