COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This lager like ale is modeled after the official beer of Köln, Germany. Kolsch is delicate and refreshing with a slight fruitiness and supportive, yet unobtrusive hop bitterness

Capitol Hill brewpub. Clear, pale straw body with mild carbonation and a pure snowy white head. Aroma is of nutty, pils malt and fresh wheat with grassy notes. Lightly sweet wheat and biscuit flavor with some crisp, drying bitterness. Hops are evident. Clean, decent, and easy-drinking. Good brewpub kolsch in that it does have some character and has no off qualities.

Light amber color, and light aromas. Some lemon and cereal grains -- but not much else on the nose. The body of the beer is similarly light -- it is also harsh and overcarbonated. Tastes are unfinished and muddled barley, plain hops and club soda. Not this brewer’s best.

Wholesome, unoutstanding. Really unoutstanding.

Had this in a sampler from Capitol City Downtown on September 5th, 2005 and also had a pint afterwards. Gold bodied with a small white head. Nose is grassy and malty with light lemony citrus tones. Taste has a nice Euro hoppiness to it along with more grass, some hay, citrus zest and light yeast. Some grains to this as well.Body is light and crisp. Finishes zesty and crisp with wheat, lemon, grass and a bit of yeast. I thought this was pretty nice!

The first beer I started with at Capitol...although I had been here before many years ago (’97?) before Ratebeer. At any rate, this is pretty plain. Dry, moderately grassy aroma; clear, lighter yellow color, clinging white head. Some hops in there; aggressive carbonation. One of the masses, but not unreasonable. (on tap at Postal Square location)

A nice sparkly, lightly sweet and bready brew with a little bit of a spicey bite at the finish. I guess there’s really not much to it, but I actually liked this one the best when I visited the pub.

Interesting beer, not much going on, but it does have some sweet citrus flavours. It isn’t very bold, but it does taste refreshing and it has some nice bitterness too. I had this one on tap at the Harrisonburg beer and wine festival.

On tap at Capitol City in Baltimore. Poured a light yellow with a very small head. Not much to really pick out in the aroma and tastes (some malts and hops). Lightly sweet. Didn’t do much for me

Not a bad summer type beer. Golden color, with no head. It goes down easy, with some sweetness. Tastes include some malt, hops, and a bit of fruit.

(Draught) Pours a golden color with a small white head. Mildly sweet and grassy aroma. Flavor of hops, sweet malt, and fruit. Dry palate.
