3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 CaptainCougar (6834) - Columbia, USA - JUN 11, 2009
On tap fall 2008: Pours a hazy goldenrod with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Has a citrusy hop nose with some light pale malty sweetness. Body starts with decent fullness and a light caramely sweetness with a pleasant grapefruity hoppy balance before a thinner bittersweet finish. A decent APA.

On draft at the Shirlington location. Poured with a a usual pale color and decent head with ok lacing. The flavor was smooth, a nice light pale ale with some earthy malt notes and a light clean pine hop finish. Mouthfeel was moderate within the style, light overall, enjoyable start.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 gsmitty80 (1414) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 20, 2008
On tap at Capitol Hill. This beer was extremely watery and premature. The hops were very acidic and it almost had an oak barrel aged taste to it. It tasted also as if there was some dry hopping done but i know there wasnt. It was a strange taste and one that i havent had since the Coast brewing comapny released their oak aged IPA with dry hopping, which was by far the hardest hop milkshake ive ever drank....pass on this one and on their other offerings.

On tap at the Capitol Hill location. Came with a slightly hazy medium hue orange color with a extremely small head (not sure the size when it was initially poured). Aroma is standard APA, with citrus, hop, and some caramel. Flavor is citrus, with a mellow malt flavor.

On tap at the Shirlington location. Hazy gold with a small eggshell head. Light citrusy nose, predominantly grapefruit. Light citrusy flavor, grapefruit, orange and mild caramel. Seems to gain flavor toward the bottom. Not bad.
