Draft. Pours a clear light copper with the slightest of white heads. Minimal lacing. Sweet, grainy aroma. Medium body with a bit of carbonation. Flavor is also sweet with notes of honey and a touch of caramel. Overall out of balance. Too sweet.

In the bottle at an SOB tasting thanks to Phil’s Dad. Pours a light amber with a white head. This is surprisingly good for a Capitol product. Not German in the grainy intensity, but a bit sweeter with a smooth palate. Easy to drink.

a rite of spring, don’t care for the new labelling, buts its the same great beer.

Dark Amber color with White Ring. Light Sweet Malted Aroma. Light to Medium Mouthfeel. Sweet Musty Malt, Bitter Twang...Burnt Caramel Flavors...with a Dry Burnt Caramel Finish. Something Seems Off With This Brew but At Least Has Some Promise to it.

Clear light copper color, white head, almost no head at all though. Very sweet straight malt and sugar nose, cheap grains and sugary maple syrup and apple smell. Taste is also sweet, more apple and honey flavor, more grains, I can sort of see some bock qualities but it really tastes no different than their altbier. Too sweet.

on tap at uno in madison. Nice white head, light amber body, caramel taste with a decent palate but the finish was unbalanced, some alcohol bitterness. I doubt if I will be having this one again.
