On tap at the Shirlington, VA location. The appearance was a cloudy, sunshine yellow, very light with virtually no head. Aroma of citrus and corriander with the corriander being the predominant. Front palate of citrus-laced yeast with a wheat middle and finish of corriander and something else - nutmeg or cumin maybe? Couldn’t put my finger on it, but delicious just the same. The body was thinner than I had expected, which made the beer drink even more quickly than I had hoped and oops, I had to have another. Very refreshing and light version of what is becoming one of my favorite styles.

Draft @ brewpub: Poured a hazy yellow with a nice white head. The aroma was wheat and citrus. The flavor was sweet citrus, banana, clove, wheat and spice. Overall, an easy drinker.

Dogbrick (7870) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2009
Sample at the Downtown location. This beer is a hazy yellow color with a thin white head that disappears relatively fast. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of mild spices and citrus. Light, clean body with a fruity and spicy character along with a touch of hops. The finish is zesty citrus and sweet spices. Decent overall.

Sampled at Virginia Beer Festival. Pale hazy straw color. Wheat, coriander, and citric orange nose. Flavor matches. A textbook example of one of my favorite styles. Well done. Capitol proved to be one of my favorites of the day.

Strykzone (4901) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUL 3, 2009
Enjoyed at the Capitol Hill Brewpub. Pour is a very cloudy straw color with the thinnest head. Aroma is lemon and coriander as is the flavor. Commercial description said it had orange peels but I found lemon. Quite a nice zesty summer beer. Very refreshing on a July day.

Drake (8214) - Free Union, Virginia, USA - JUL 3, 2009
Sampled at the 2nd annual Virginia Beer Festival at Capital Ale House Midlothian. Pours a hazy straw yellow color with a medium head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma is strong yeast, bread and citrus with peach, pear and banana notes. Taste is bready, spicy yeast notes, pineapple and citrus. Fairly dry. Medium bodied.
