COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English style robust Porter with huge malt notes from Chocolate and Black malt matched with a huge use of Crystal malt to lend ruby hues to the corners of the glass. This dark brew is then highly hopped with imported Northdown and First Gold hops to lend a subtle earthiness in character.

Farblich wie Cola. Geruch leicht röstig. Stark karbonisiert, wenig restsüß. Mit Aschenbecher. Eher ein irisches Stout als ein Porter.

Sehr intensiver Geruch nach Schokolade und Kaffee. Geschmack geht eher in Richtung Stout: relativ trocken, aber sehr aromatisch.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy dark brown colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque except at the edges dark ruby red brown colored body and a spiderweb lacing. The mild aroma was dark malt. The semi-flat thin mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a mellow dark malt aftertaste. The thin flavor contained notes of semi-sweet roasted malt old ale burnt malt and dark malt. An OK brew just nothing special.

Pours a deep brown color with a nice chocolate aroma. Taste is roasted malt mixed well with chocolate. A slight bitter aftertaste that lingers but overall a decent porter. I wish the beer was a little more complex, but I enjoyed it at the DC restaurant.

Pours cloudy black with good head and lacing. Some roast malt aroma and good, well-balance package all around if nothing super out of the ordinary. Finishes with medium bitterness. Tap at brewpub in D.C.
