4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This porter was a great blend of bitter and taste, something I have come to expect from a porter. We ended the night on this brew, and it definitely was worth the extra pain the next morning.

Had this one on draught at the brewpub near Union Station in Washington, D.C. Hazy dark brown pour with a light brown head, chocolate malty nose, a nice creamy chocolate and malt flavor, smooth finish, very nice.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep red, very little light shows. Minimal head. Roasty, tobacco, bit of molasses. Quite drinkable, smooth and quaffably thin without being watery. Coffee, chocolate, and a milky sweetness at end. Stays a bit dry and smoky in the finish for a pleasantly long while. Admittedly not particularly porterish, its lightness reminds me more of a roasty dunkel than anything else.

Decent porter, a bit over the top roasty but one of their better beers. Great happy hour brew @ $2.50 a pint.

Had it on draft at the Baltimore location. Black with a light brown head. The porter has some citrus hints against the almost chalkiness. This is my favorite American Porter.

on tap at inner harbor, milky looking brown color, big, soapy coffee colored head, tons of chocolate in the nose, lots of coffee, grass and toast as well. flavor of coffee and chocolate with hints of vanila, very creamy, velvety mouthfeel, lots of body for a porter. a very enjoyable beer, easily one of their best regular offerings.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very dark ale with sparkling clear, ruby highlights. Medium-sized, creamy, khaki-colored head. Incredibly thick lacework which could only be removed from the glass with a putty-knife.
Vanilla, coffee and chocolate in the nose. Same goes for the flavor, but with added notes of cinnamon. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Short, astringent, bitter finish.
