(Draught) Deep amber colour with a medium, white head. Nose of hops ans malt. Strong malt flavour - sweet, tart, thin, slight cask caramel. Long lastings sweetness into the finish. Oily texture. Good.

Aurelius (3143) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2004
Prominent fruit and floral aroma, over sweet malt. Plummy and sherry-ish with a menacing ABV heat. After the initial sugar shock, the beer seems to dry out and go a bit crackery. Finish begins with an alcohol sting on the tongue and moves on to a lingering woody bitterness on the sides of the mouth. Pithy mouthfeel with some potato or avocado notes in the finish.

MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2004
This was unfortunate. No head whatsoever, perfectly clear ruby-copper. Nose quite sugary and quite pungent. Tastes quite unfinished, get a grain alcohol harshness, unpleasant. Bit biscuity and mild fruit, but mostly is a combination of harsh, overpowering alcohol and sugariness.

argo0 (9224) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 15, 2004
No head atop a clear amber body. Aroma is sweet, candy sugar, some cherry. Taste is much the same, plus some alcohol warming. Flat full body, with some stickiness.

Clear sparkling dark amber with almost no head. Very sweet sugary aroma with a bit of cherry. The flavor is very sweet and is almost like cough syrup. The body is med-full and the finish is flat and sticky.
