Cask Handpump at the Smithfield Hotel, Manchester 22/04/2011 Fruity aroma. Mid brown coloured a little rich on the palate and fruity with a hint of bitterness and dryness in a nutty malt finish.

Cask conditioned handpump King Billy Northampton. A dark brown coloured beer with a white head and lacing. A malty nutty fruity beer with some chocolate and wood in the mouth. Especially fruity aroma. Pretty nice.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Clear, chestnut pour with strong, off-whiite head. Dark, ripe fruit nose with prune and cherries. Lightly sweet with more fruits, soggy bread, faint herbal bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Some tangy, dark and semi-dried fruits in the finish. Alright.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Brown to copper with white head. Heavier malty type beer with a fruity background, some chocolate notes, a touch metallic and sharp. It’s ok.
