3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7065) - London, - FEB 24, 2010
Cask, at Newark Beer Festival, May 2004 as Wissey Valley Busted Flush. Amber colour. A straightforward best bitter with the accent on caramel and fruity malt. Modest earthy hops and bitterness. OK but nothing out of the ordinary.

On cask at the 26th Annual Folk Festival in Ely. A dark reddish-orange colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel and flavour of sweet treacle. Thinly masked alcohol. A bit musty and heavy for me.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Spiesy (2336) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - SEP 8, 2003
Cask Conditioned, at the Maidstone Beer Festival. Murky, really murky, amber colour. Nice fine, persisting, beige head. Slightly sulphurous nose. Sweet honied flavour, medium bitterness. Despite the pour conditioning this was the best of the 3 beers selected on this round.

Gravity, Maidstone Beer Fest. Lively tangerine fruit flavours. An initial wet finish picks up late with a mild dryness. A decent bitter,
