Bottle shared with friends. Capt Lawrence does sours right! No if, and’s or but’s about it. Very nice tartness to this one. Jaw tickler to say the least. Very lucky I was able to get a bottle of this.

Bottle that I took to Paul’s for the Blind Stout tasting. Pours a lighty hazy ruby tinged brown with a thin beige head. Acetone and cherries on the nose, soft vinegar musk. Musk and acetone with a nice bit of malt and cherries. Warm sour acid and a bit more acetone and vinegar into the finish. Long tartness into the finish with more acetone and sour malt. Interesting, but a bit too much acetone in here.

Pours a murky dark orange with a faint white lacing. Notes of cherry promptly followed by an acidic palate. An exceptional mix of sour and fruitiness.

Dark chestnut brown body, moderate sized pale tan head, spotty lacing. Nose shows cherries, oak, vinous fruits, must, and a hint of acetic notes. Flavor is pronounced tart cherries, pie like sweetness, vinous notes, oak, and a little must. Moderate body, gentle carbonation, silky feel on the tongue, moderate sweetness, mellow sourness, nice tart finish.

Bottle shared by Thomas, thank you! Delicious sour with a strong flavor of sour cherries. This will only get better with age, but the flavor was so fresh that it would be hard to save them to wait and see!

Thanks Justin & Cate! Sour and fruity aroma, tart cherries make add layers of complexity. Tart cherries jump out at your palate first, yeasty and mildly bitter as it descends. Tastes like a fresh sour with serious potential for aging. Can't wait to see how this develops after a year or two.

Brand new, limited release from CL. Bottle shared with Frank and Bill, compliments of Bill. Pours a murky cranberry red, not much lacing or head present. Notes of dark cherry, strong cinnamon, oak, light vinegar, wine, grapes, and very light rust, Reminded me of a new glarus fruit beer meets a sour belgian kriek. It got even better as she warmed. Very nice sour ale from the Captain.
