Nearly opaque black red color with a small, lit tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, cherries, red wine vinegar, char, brett, vanilla, and light bacteria. Taste of cocoa, char, sour cherries, light vinegar, and a sour finish. I thought the burnt notes clashed a bit with the funky barrel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured a deep dark brown with a small tan head and notable lacing. Aroma is dominated by tart cherries, oak, slight yeast funk, and grape. Taste is sour all the way through, but palatable, with notes of berry, cherry, smoke, and spices. Interesting take on a sour that is enjoyable to sip on.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A big thanks to boamr for sharing this in LA. Pours a very cloudy dark brown color with a beige head. Aroma leads you to believe its going to be sour and loaded with vinegar notes. Some aged balsamic vinegar and some tart cherries are there. When I tasted it I was surprised to find it containing some nice sourness and fruit while being a bit dry...but the vinegar I was smelling didn’t really hit on the tongue. Cool beer!

Big thanks to Huhzubendah for sharing this one. Served in a Captain Lawrence cervoise. Black. Nose has a bit of fruit and fairly-heavy acid. Flavor has a touch of roast and dark fruit. Mild acetic. Dry. A bit harsh.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours murky brown with a small, creamy, khaki head. The nose is both acidic and acetic, offering additional interwoven notes of caramel and sour cherries. Full-bodied and creamy with modest carbonation. The tart, fruity flavor offers sour cherries, light vanilla, mild yeasty bitterness and a suggestion of caramel. Tart, tangy finish. Many thanks to newcigarz for sharing this world class beer!

[Bottle] shared be Greg. Thanks! Pours clear black with a slightly soapy tan ring. The aroma is acetic, oaky, rotting berry, not much else. The flavor is thinnish, but nicely sour, balanced lactic and acetic, lightly roasty, odd, oaky, but nice. The finish is lightly sharp and sour.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to dmac! Very dark brown pour, small ring of carbonation and a good aroma of woody and slightly sour cherries. Flavor is thin woody cherries as well, nice biting sugary tartness (but not overpowering) and a little floral on the aftertaste. Very nice.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour from Greg, thanks a bunch. Very dark brown pour with a very light brown slight head, with a bit of lasting light lacing. Aroma is sour cherry pits, some wood, light balsamic. Slight acetic character, at least to my nose. Taste isn’t quite as sour as the aroma lets on, no acetic character here. Not a ton of dark malt character, but it is there as light dusty chocolate right on the end. Finishes dry, with light carbonation. Not bad at all!

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, thanks Greg for the pour! Dark reddish brown with thin off white head, aroma has notes of dark cherry, red wine, grape, some vinous acetic notes, touch of slight cocoa, hints of nice lacto, touch of funky earth and berry notes. Taste is nice dark fruit with plum, some dark cherry, raspberry, some lemon and lacto, red wine and grape notes, touch of earth and spice, slight vanilla, finishing fairly sour and sweet. Tasty stuff!
