Bottle pour. Hazy ruby brune pour. Slight raspberry tart fruit and acetic aroma. Raspberry flavor with a tart finish. Better of the two fruit barrel selects.

Big thanks to Adam for sharing. Pours a cloudy red with a very small head. Aroma is raspberry jam, sour fruit, even a bit of citrus. Taste is raspberry pie, with tart fruit and pie crust, orange zest, woody, seedy, sour fruit. Not extremely complex, but an enjoyable offering, the fruit is front and center balanced nicely by an overall tartness.

750 ml courtesy of dmac. Thanks, man! Pours a deep copper brown hue, glowing ruby red body and edges and good haze. Frothy small tannish head atop dies to a small ring and laces small. Aromas are sour raspberries, touches of metallic twang, lactic acid, and touches of raspberry vinegarette. Some mellow toast, biscuits, and oak. Gentle red wine, rich seedy jammy raspberry picks up as it warms a bit more. Nice fruity vibe, tart and seedy. Initial is medium bodied, perhaps a touch lighter, with a firm tart sour raspberry kick up front. Dry and seedy with some rich raspberry fruit and skins, touches of red wine, oak barrel, tannins, and mellow biscuity malts. Lactic acid, red sour fruit, and lemons. Touches of red wine vinegar, earthy malts, vanilla and lingering sour raspberries into the backend. Linger sour berry, quite nice with some life. Finish and lingering raspberry seedy fruit, skin, lactic acid. Tart and lactic, oak. Pretty nice. Lacks complexity but quite palatable and tasty. Nice and a marked improvement over it’s Cherry counterpart.

Red, non transparent. Dry, rasberry, tart. It’s really good and taste like expected. Sour and bright flavored despite the funkiness.

(bottle from ChairMissing!). Pours a cloudy red with a pinkish head. Aroma has raspberry and some vinegar. Taste is sour and vinegary and matches the aroma. Medium bodied and a dry finish. I really enjoyed this one. Super!

Thanks to maltajo for the bottle. Hazy red pour with little head. Fresh raspberry aroma with a light tartness. Light crisp malt, tart but easily drinkable with lots of berry notes and touches of barrel. Great stuff.

Pours murky brown with copper hues and off white head. The aroma has nice blunted raspberry fruit notes mixing with tartness and earthy green beans. The taste has firm and fairly rich raspberry notes mingling with tartness and some sort of smooth sugary note that fills in the gaps between fruit and tartness. Pretty nice. I enjoyed the level of real raspberry this seems to offer.

Bottle at Paul’s. The aroma is sour, vinegar, fruit. The appearance is hazy amber, white head. The flavor is vinegar, tart fruit, raspberries. The finish is sour, tart raspberry flavors. Medium in body, high carbonation. Pretty good. I’m not sure why the raspberies worked better than the cherries, but they did.

Bottle courtesy of dcschiller @ Woodshed 1.0! Oh, so much better! The ripe raspberry makes an appearance with the addition of vinegar, citrus, sour cherry, seltzer, slight funk, and acid. Not bad.

bottled on 7/11 raspberry version. pour has a bright red garnet color and a covering of tan head. aroma has big bright raspberry, light acidity, and some light oak. mouth feel is light and there is higher carbonation but not tongue bitingly so. acidity gets to a medium and my mouth waters lightly but it is not crushingly sour. the raspberry is big and bright but not thick and there is a seedy bitterness. the original barrel select was more tart than this one and had a bit more funk and character but the berry brings the beer in a completely different direction. Interesting to me this version scores so much lower than the base beer does.

Cloudy reddish pour, creamy head. Aroma of raspberries, phenols, yeast, some light vinegar. Flavor is berries, tart, yeast, some light plastic. Best of the two.
