Wittales (636) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Appearance was clear reddish brown with creamy lasting off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are simple sweet malts with English yeast profile and hints of nut and hops. Taste are toffee, caramel, nutty malts, yeasty cake with hints of lemony pine hops. Palate was soft smooth CO2 with medium body, average length brownish tick of dry finish. Could have fuller malt profile...

HeadyDE (507) - Delaware, USA - AUG 4, 2014
bottle pour dated May 2014..dark brown color with active carbonation and all kinds of particle haze when held up to light...nose mostly consists of roasted malt..reminds me of walking into a nut shop down the beach if you can actually find any left..hazelnut..bit of smoke in background..not a real fan of brown ales..but this is pleasant, light bodied with some complexity however..another solid beer from CLBC...

Tap @ 2EM in Beacon, NY... Poured darker brown with a thin, light tan head. Pretty standard for style. Easy drinking, nutty malted grains, cocoa and toasted sugars. Mild to low bitterness. Hints of toffee and dark sugars with a mild yeast presence towards the finish.

On tap at BWW. Dark brown with tan head and clear. Aroma is faint with toasted malt and metal. Taste is lightly caramel, nutty, and a bit metallic. Do pick up some dark fruit, perhaps fig, prune? Finish is lasting but clean.

keanex (1458) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - MAR 7, 2014
On-tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: The body is a beautiful copper with reddish/brown hues. The had is khaki with mediocre retention, settling into a bubbly coating.
Aroma: The aroma is complex with a slightly roasty nuttiness and hints of caramel. Really cohesive with good strength.
Taste: The beer is malty with a roasted nuttiness to it, like a roasted peanut with mild caramel undertones. The finish lingers a moment and reminds me of eating unsalted roasted peanuts.
Palate: Clean body, medium viscosity with mild carbonation.
Overall: This is a great brown ale, especially at the ABV. This would hold its own against any English Brown ale. Very clean and well done with cohesive flavors.

Bottle, pours a nice clear brown, aroma is a light coffee, taste is a nice light chocolate with a bit of coffee, a nice smooth and tasty brown ale, about as good as this style can be

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Orange with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee, nuts and toasted malt. The flavor is similar with toffee, light malt and nuts. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
