Straw yellow color, quite hazy with nice egg-white head. Aroma is minimal. Flavor is musty, dry, quite grainy, a hint of malt/bready. Doesn’t remind me of the style, looks like a wit without the spiciness. Just not as crisp as I expected.

Draft. A slightly cloudy yellow color with a thin white head that had no retention. Aroma was of grassy hop notes and some biscuit notes. Flavor had a good hop note to it, more floral than anything else. Biscuit flavors were mild. A nice crisp refreshing beer.

Tap at Mission Dolores. Deep golden pour. Nose of creamed corn and diacetyl. Sticky sweet and a bit yeasty. Shit – this is really terrible. Solventy, dirty and not at all the clean subtle beer a kolsch should be.

a nice summer beer, but after having a few from this brewer i suppose i expected more than this. nice clear and crisp color and flavor but nothing that really stands out. not hoppy, not malty, not yeasty, just a very bland kolsch. ummm, not much more to say than that, could have been a macro and i wouldnt have known the difference.

Draft straight from the brewery during the 4th CdC release. Poured a clear golden body with an average to slightly large fluffy bright white head. Aroma was similar to a freshly opened tube of Pilsbury biscuits. There was just this little something extra towards the end of fresh dough that seemed plasticy and artificial, just like Pilsbury dough. The same aroma translated right into the flavors with lots of fresh dough and grain with that little something "extra". The palate was nice, crisp and clean with a medium body and average carbonation and a slight hop bite on the finish. Solid but there was just that little oddity in the aroma and flavor that I can’t quite place my finger on but it was definitely a distraction from an otherwise solid beer.

Sampled on tap at Willimantic Brewing Company. Pours clear amber with a light head. Aroma of citrus and bread. Light on palate. Light fruit flavors on the finish. A decent beer, but I would rather have the Captain Lawrence Imperial IPA any day.

Tap with dinner the other day. Creamy with a moderate body. A lovely golden. Hops ring the mouth just enough to let you know they are there but come out a bit more in finish. White head is fizzy.

The aroma is butter, bread, hops. The appearance is clear gold, white head. The flavor is flowery hops, perfumy, b utter, bread. The finish is noble hops, flowery ops, some malty sweetness. Medium/thin in body. Ok for what it is.

[Draft @ Pacific Standard] Golden color with a small, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of straw, toast, sweeter toffee, some honey, citrus, and grass. Taste of crisp, toast, citrus, light hop, and a dry finish.

Growler filled at Big Z and consumed the next day. Pours a slightly hazed gold with a few soapy bubbles for a head that quickly disappear. My guess is there was an issue filling this growler given the extremely weak head and the amount of unfilled space in the top of the growler. Mild aroma of bready malt. The flavor is malt with some biscuit towards the finish. Slightly dry as well. Fairly well rounded. Easily drinkable.
