3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma is light and grainy with some faint bread notes. Hop aroma is minimal No diacetyl and esters are faint.
Pours a fairly cloudy pale yellow with a thick pillowy white head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin film. Medium low lacing and very small legs.
Flavor is not as nice as it could be. Some graininess but that quickly fades to bitterness and some grassy hop flavors. Low but noticeable esters and some astringent graininess in the finish.
Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Astringency is medium and alcohol warmth is low.
Overall an alright beer, but not really a kolsch. The bitterness doesn't go well with the malt notes and everything is a bit muddled and astringent.

Sample at tap room. Pours golden with a thin white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Nice light, thin mouthfeel. Feels a bit effervescent. A bit of fruitiness on the tongue. Finishes clean. Hard style to pull off but this is good one.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours hazy lemon yellow with champagne effervescence. Frothy white head that fell fast but left a thin ring and cap. Soapy wet lace. Nose is biscuit and cracker. Fabulous malt. A little hop breath of orange and citrus overall. Malt opens up with a touch of caramel. Taste is clean, crisp malt. Grain and plenty of cracker with just a hint of caramel sweetness. Hops whisper from the wings- earthy, floral and lightly fruity with some lemon. Mouthfeel is rich not sweet and perfectly delectable. Washes over the palate dry with just a bit of oil to make you smack your lips and want some more. Excellent kolsch. Simple and refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light, clear gold with lots of bubbles and a thin white head. Aroma is pretty standard "beer" in terms of malt component, but has some additional vanilla and light fruity sweet notes. Taste is the same, but with a lasting biscuity malt flavor that endures beyond the relatively high initial bitterness. $2/12oz

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle [12oz]. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-gold with a large fluffy white head. Aroma of yeast, bready malt, light grassy hops, peas, salt, fruit and floral notes -- a touch odd. Slightly watery flavour of grain, grassy hops, bready malt, yeast and fruit. Average bodied. Kolsch is far from my favourite style but even I can tell this is a poor example of the style.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from a bottle into closest I could find to be a kolsch glass. Gold pour, lively white head that thins out quickly. Smells almost like a belgian ale- spices, yeast, some faint hops. Tastes pretty bright with lemon up front, malty/spicy middle, and a very gentle bitter finish that gets followed up with some breadiness. Not bad.

Poured from bottle. Aroma of lemon peel and grass. Light gold, white head. I taste citrus, floral hops along with toasted malt and sugar/spice notes. Dry and refreshing, lager-y feel. Well done.

My favorite style is kolsch and I am german. This is definitely not a kolsch brew although its not bad for what it is. Kolsch is crisp. This beer is creamy. Nice blend of spices just needs a new name.

lol, i bought this when out in milford at my GF’s house, didn’t even realize i didn’t tick it. Standar lightly hoppy smooth kolsch, a little too thick and oddly creamy for me, i like these extra crisp, it couldve been old however.
