Bottle. Straw color with a thin white head. Nose is tart with a hint of fruitiness. Taste is tart with hints of hay and a bitter finish. Good dry mouthfeel. I just don't dig Kolsch to date. Probably nothing wrong with this particular one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

really nice "kellerbier" kind of malt aroma, really pleasant yeast esters. a bit hazy, medium gold/dark straw yellow color, formidable thick white head that falls quickly. clean malt flavor with a touch of tartness, a very mellow citrus note in the middle. a touch of hop bitterness in the finish. a lot of body for a kölsch. clean aftertaste. very good take on the style.

12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass. Hazy yellowish hay with a small white head. Clean light malt aroma, with bread, minor floral hops and faint pear. Sweetish malt flavor, low bitterness, some dryness and mellow honey notes. Light, a bit old to be refreshing, pleasant but not crisp enough. So so.

Lightly hazy gold - nose has some lightly peppery hops and mild grain, but mostly smells yeasty and moderately sour - seems like an infection setting in - the flavor confirms this - lightly tangy and moderately acidic up front - certainy tastes like the early stages of an infection - the middle is nice, with some crisp grains and a slight hop bite - the finish is mostly sourish yeastiness, though - I was looking forward to a nice, crisp kolsch, but got this infected POS instead - thanks, Captain Lawrence.

Let’s be honest. I hate Kölsch. The style seems to be predicated on skunky lager. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Scent is all cheap grain. Weird slightly sweet flavor. Carbonation masks the terribleness. Ugh. Good for style..........I guess. Bottle - Whole Foods Market Bowery - New York, NY

Aroma of dough and shandy. Hazy yellow color, moderate effervescence. Heavy on the sweetness, but in a balanced way. Crisp body, otherwise very light and quaffable, though strong kolsch wise anyway. Well put together product, as good as the Koln natives.

12 oz bottle from BlackIPA. Thanks again for the impromptu box if CL rates, Shawn. Pours a nice mellow hazed golden hue, some good glow, lively carbonation with some darker gold and gentle orange hue. Lighter bottom and edges, golden harvest, with a frothy bright white head, dies to a mellow ring and laces small. Aromas are grainy and bready, straw and grass meet some bread yeast, dough with some apple, gentle fruit. More grainy and cereal, a gentle sweetness and spiciness hits the nose. A fleck of lemon, fruit, and more bready malts, spicy yeast and mellow earthy hops. Not bad. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some spritzy carbonation, dry grainy malts hit the palate. A touch spicy, effervescent. Touch of soap, grass. The middle quickly moves into the fruity element, gentle apple and pear, a bit fruity with faint citrus. It’s not overbearing, the lemon, pear give some life. Backend gets grainy again, so as not to stay sweet for too long. Grainy, bready, and straw. Some spicy yeast and the earthy hop element come back into the fold. A bit of sweetness, fruit, gentle bitterness tag along and linger into the finish. It’s simple but pretty enjoyable. Pretty damn good beer for style, sessionability, and nice flow through the elements. Tis the season for more beers like this (and the Hoppy Wheat I had previously).

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazed straw color with a fluffy white head. Very clean aroma with only a light fruit note. Oddly enough it kinda smells like Pez candy. Medium mouthfeel. Sweet, some fruit flavors and a little bitterness. No alcohol notes at all.
