COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

Bottle @ Blindtasting, Odense, July 2011. Pours hazy orange with a creamy off white head. Tart nose of grapes and mould. Tart flavor with notes of brett, horseblanket, oak and grapes. Ends very dry. Nice.

Bottle at the Angry Fist of Santa tasting at Chris_o’s. Hazy pale gold, very lemony tart aroma. Bleachy lemon. A bit like a lemony saison. It’s quite a good balanced sour beer. Good palate and good lemon finish.

Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Clear golden - small white head. Nice wooden, barnyard, grapes, horsey, sharpness, nice acid, oakey, light peppery sharpness. Lovely. Good complexity.

Cloudy, blonde. Wow...gooseberries...impressive sour fruitiness. Killer citrus - grapefruit & dalandan. Way sour, kind of grapefruit juice-like, and also quite spicy. Big citrus, crazy subtle nuances that don’t quite get at what they’re getting at. Very good brew - unique, complex and challenging.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow with a medium (quickly diminishing) white head. Aroma of mustiness, sour grapefruit (as it is peeled; the zest), and woodiness. Flavor of sour grapes, citrus, and brett with a subtle wood finish. If you like sour this is the beer for you!

(RBSG07, 750ml bottle) Cloudy lemon body, no head. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, some cream, duskiness. Taste is medium sweet, sharp lemon. Light-medium body, some acidity. Seems one-dimensional, too tart -- could pass for an Imperial Berliner Weisse. I don’t get the devotion to this.

thewolf (11158) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2008
Bottle @ Chris_o’s Pre-Beer Exposed Tasting, September 2008.
Pours muddy, pale yellow with nearly no head. Aroma is tart citrus and oranges. Okay, dryish mouthfeel. Flavour is softly tart, a bit of wood. Very citrus-oriented if not one-sided. There are so many (much) better sours around.

bottle-pours a white ring and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is tart lemon/apple, yeast, light malt. Taste is very tart lemon/apple, yeast, light malt, vanilla, oak, pepper, some vinegar. Occasional, quite interesting although not my taste.

Cloudy golden with a tiny white head. Weak aroma of funk, dusty cellar, wood and grass. Sweetish and tart, mostly fruity flavour with lots of pineapple, some wood, dusty cellar, and herbal notes. Subtle, but quite complex.

Bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thank you sir! Very pale yellow, scant white head. Aroma of subtle peach and apricot, citrus. Taste is rising white bread dough soaked in dry white wine. Very nice.
