4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a hazy (almost murky) peach color with a small white head. Aroma is full of peach skin, lactic and aceatic acid, funk, and unripe summer stone fruit. Flavor is great. Still some peach flesh, peach skin, very acidic (huge lactic acid with some vinegar), subtle but nice funk and some earth. Medium body and carbonation. Creamy palate. This was excellent.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Murky straw-colored ale with no head. The bouquet is funky and acidic with nice notes of vanilla, sour cherries and peach skins. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor presents citric and sour cherry acidity followed by a light, yeasty bitterness. Finishes tart and bready. Thanks so much to biggsbowler for sharing this gem!

I believe Forgetfu shared this too! Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is apricto, funk and cobweb. Tasty is vinegary sour and almost puckering. Still has a bit of fruit. Medium bodied with a dry and tart finish. Really awesome! Thanks Bill!! This was probably my top want at the time. Now I want more!!

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Brought this bottle to a random Tuesday tasting. Pours a cloudy peach in color with a minimal amount of head. Nose is a balance of acetone and peach. There is a little more acetone in this bottle than the last one I opened. Pretty outstanding how much fruit character is still present though. Flavor is heavily acetic acid and fresh peach. Light mouthfeel with some seriously bracing acidity, solid carbonation, and a lingering finish. One of the best American sours ever produced. Wish I could drink this regularly, why the hell won’t Captain Lawrence produce this semi-regularly? Ranks at the top with Fou Foune in terms of peach/apricot sours.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
From notes. First reviewed 12/14/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a stemmed tulip. Big thanks to bauermj for bringing this over.
My pour has a mostly pale golden color with a creamy looking off-white head. Pretty much what I would expect from a peach sour.
This aroma is simply incredible. Peach and apricot accompany a blisteringly sour presence in the nose. Acidic, hugely lactic and a bit dry in the nose. Some barnyard funk really gets swirled up in the sour aroma but is still noticeable.
There is a soft peach and apricot juice sweetness up front that quickly gets overwhelmed by the incredible sour flavor. It grows and grows, turning lactic until it starts to burn my throat in a glorious way. A little bit of vanilla and oak toward the end. Right at the end a great gueuze like lemon zest seals the deal. This is incredible.
Obviously very sour and lactic creates a salivating and puckering sensation in my mouth, and I love every second of it. Still a bit smooth, but it leaves a burning in the back of my throat.
I did not think it was possible to have a sour peach or apricot beer that I liked better than Fou Foune, but I was happy to be surprised.

Pours thick cloudy lemon with an amber hue and light tan head. The aroma is straight up delicious lightly sweet sour peaches, even with the aging. The flavor is light puckering sour peach notes on a thicker delicious body, and a dry but full ending. Just as awesome as expected.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a cloudy golden amber with a thin white head. The nose is sour up front, notes of dry oak, peaches, and some acetone in back. The taste is of dry oak, bright peaches and very sour, strong acidity in the finish with a hint of acetone. The body is medium, very soft on the palate, lightly syrupy, slight dry finish, and high carbonation. Tons of acidity, if you like that seek this out, too much to enjoy and couldn’t finish a whole bottle.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Been sitting on this one for a while a decided tonight was the night to give it a try, no special reason, just cuz, shared with the girlfriend. Poured into a Lost Abbey tulip glass a clear light amber color with a slight collared white head. The aroma just screams sour with notes of lemon zest, slight fruit (hard to pick out peaches exactly), and lactic acid. Tart beginning that then transitions to a nice fruitiness but not overly fruity. Decently sour. The barrels to me are fairly subtle but kick in later at the end. Not really earthy or funky but rather a straight forward sour with a little fruit kick. Overall, a very good beer and one that I wish was made in bigger quantities. Ends with a bit of chewiness.
