3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft from a random airport bar at JFK - rather happy to see a Captain Lawrence on draft actually. Pale orange, OK head. Aroma is grapefruit citrus and pine. Flavor is largely piney hops, a touch rough, with a balancing malt backbone. Sort of a standard, bit more aggressively hopped, pale ale. Not quite my favorite hop profile, but a well made brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Really enjoyed this one. Bottle from Prospect Heights Beer Distributors. Poured amber with a medium head. Aroma was citrus hops. Flavor was more of the same, very fresh, and in balance with the malt backbone.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pale, foggy orange in color with a thin, white head, it looks a little like urine with an infection. The nose is sweet and hoppy, with moderate caramel and balanced grain. Great nose! In the mouth it’s thin and very wet, with a bright, almost citrusy flavor. Thin, bright, and highly sessionable. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden amber a large off white slowly fading head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, caramel malt with some grass and grain notes. Taste same as aroma with mild hops bitterness. Palate is a medium body with moderate carbonation. Finish is sweet caramel, some grass and grain notes, fruity with floral citrus hops, has slightly tangy citrus aftertaste on the end. Overall a pretty solid brew for the style.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle @ Steve’s house, courtesy of BlackIPA. Thanks! Pours a hazy orange appearance with a white head. Chewy yeasty, a touch fruity, grassy, light cardboard aroma. Somewhat oxidized, papery, chewy bland malty, herbal flavor. Probably a bit too old.
