3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance was honey red gold with creamy lasting off white 2 finger head, rings of lace. Aromas are sweet pale malts, pine, citrus fruits, no alcohol present. Taste was slight sweet 2-row malt backbone with pine, lemon, grapefruit and orange and resin. Palate was creamy smooth CO2 with meduim body, then a long piney, citrusy resinous finish. A classic sticky pale made in the east coast. Thx beer buddy.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Decent sized light beige head of fine bubbles. Nice caramel malts in the aroma with some light citrusy hops, dried grains and a bit of sweet sausage. Color is dark orange. Mild maltiness with a moderate hops presence. Lots of pine sap and herbal flavors along with some bitter tea. Slightly chalky and dry palate at the finish. A pretty good pale ale.

growler, clearish copper, with virtually no head or lace. Aromas and flavor are grains, light hops, malt. Not much going on flavor wise.

Pours a clear golden orange with no head. Smells of citrus faintly - little aroma. Taste is bitter and moderately sweet - spruce hops, bit of citrus, mild malt backing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, room 212, UWS. Brilliant orange gold with a fine and persistent white lid. Aroma of orange Smarties, mandarin jelly and juniper. Fresh and crisp with peppery juniper and slightly warming orange liqueur notes. Bitter finish with balancing husk and oily nut hints. Feels a little stronger than its paltry ABV. Pleasant post-run/ hangover refreshment.

[5186-20130405] 12floz bottle. Orange peel and heavy malt aroma. Slightly hazy, dark orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter leafy buttery hops flavour has a grainy citrus base. Medium body. Seems a little old but bottle is not. (6/3/7/3/12) 3.1

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Maro Bros. I think. Bottle is three weeks at this point. Aroma is a nice dark pine but also a good malt presence. Pours deep amber with a nice frothy sticky IPA head. Taste is initially pine resin but quickly fades to a warm blanket of malt. Unfortunately the combination of tastes ends up tasting like lemon dish soap. Seems well executed, I just didn’t like the way this one came together in the mouth.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle via trade. Nose of biscuity malt kinda like dog food. Reminds me of fat tire. A light hop nose that isn’t much more than grassy. Taste is similar. Definitely seems to lean toward the specialty, Vienna, Munich type of malt taste. A little dusty. Hops seem to be a secondary and minor focus in the flavor. Only slightly bitter and just a bland grassy flavor.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Pours a slightly dark orange color. nose is earthy, malty, dark caramel like character, almost a stale note. Not much hop character to this, malty, mild astringency. Not a fan.

1/6/14. Come on, Noles! 12oz bottle thanks to JBvatkeens! Dark lightly hazed orange pour with a nice khaki head that fades. Nice aroma, though not exactly what I was expecting. Nice floral hop aroma, but doesn’t seem old, seems to meld well with a touch of citrus and nice light caramel and pale malts. Nice flavor, not overtly hoppy or bitter, bit a nice crushable balance of hops and malt. I wasn’t really expecting to love this one, but I dig it!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber, caramel color with a finger if whitish head. Decent aroma of subtle citrus, a little pine, herbal and biscuit notes. Taste is similar to the nose, but the hops are more subtle on the tongue and I get a lot more of the biscuit and malty characteristics. Pretty good pale ale, easy drinking and refreshing.
