3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Bobbique, Patchogue, NY - a very light, mildly estery belgian ale, with some semi-dry, crackery malts and dusty yeast character that compliment the mild ginger character - a light it of banana sweetness in the finish, but otherwise clean, tart, and mildly spicy.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
64oz growler at the DC Local tasting. Pours a totally transparent cream soda color with zero head. Big ginger aroma, sugar, smells like ginger ale with some herbs. Flavor is big on Belgian sugars, yeast, ginger, herbs. Medium bodied with a clean finish. I thought I’d hate this and then I liked it.

Growler courtesy of Andy at DC local tasting - thanks! Orange. Aroma of ginger root coated with dirt. Taste is, unsurprisingly, ginger, but more on the smooth side, and not overbearing. Tasty enough.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the Ginger Man in NYC.
Thin, slightly sweet. Plenty of ginger but aggressively so; the beer is drinkable but more a novelty than something I’d drink regularly on purpose.

750ml from Bellport Beer. I figured this was going to be a loser, as I am not a fan of ginger. Turns out I was wrong. The ginger taste & smell were noticable, but gentle. Nice and malty, excellent, almost buttery taste & mouthfeel. Nothing crazy here, but something I’ll go back for seconds.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler filled at Dave’s Bellport Cold Beer & Soda and consumed the next day. Pours a slightly hazed burnished gold with a thin-moderate linen white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left spotty lace. Very pleasant aroma that is very malty along with some noticeable ginger. The flavor is equally enjoyable with a solid dose of malt followed by a wash of ginger. There is an ever-so-slight sour presence as well. No bitterness to speak of. Enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Ginger Man. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin white head. Crisp ginger, light wheat. Slowly developing and subtle ginger reminiscent of pumpkin pie. Nice wheat note. Medium bodied, clean. Finishes with more tingly ginger. Refreshing.
