Draft at the ginger man. Pours clear brown with minimal head. The aroma is yeasty. The taste is light sweetness.. Some banana. The finish is lightly sweet. Better for my wife than I.

A: Amber Hue, Passes Most Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing
S: Ginger, Belgian Sugar, Malty

Overall, it is as advertised, a amber ginger beer...true to style but not something to go out of your way for.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
5.2%. Draught @ The Ginger Man, NYC. Pours clear amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, hops, and, yes, real ginger. Bitter, hoppy flavour with touches of ginger and seaweed. Bitter finish. Low carbonation. OK. Quite different from all other ginger beers I have tasted, but more interesting than good in the end.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
19.06.2013, tap @ The Ginger Man NY:
Small shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet and spiced, caramel malts, ginger, grass, toffee, cloves, sugar. Taste is slightly sweet grassy, light malts, grass, hay, caramel, ginger, leafs, hints of spices and soil. Medium bitterness. Fair enough, but Iíd prefer way more ginger in it.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at brewery. Pours brown with a thin white head. Smells like gingerbread. Tastes like gingerbread. Very quaffable. Finishes clean with little bitterness. Should pair nicely with a variety of foods. Best thing Iíve had here so far.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub. Ugly appearance: urine yellow with zero head or lace. Aroma captures my attention more than anything else. Pungent ginger, malt, and spices.
Taste is ginger centric, supplemented by bland, generic "light beer filler" that I can't quite finger. Again, it's about what I expect from CL: mediocre at best, and entirely forgettable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the brewery. Poured a cloudy gold with some light head and lacing. Nose of spice mostly. Ginger is present as well as the Belgian yeast spiciness. Good carbonation and medium body. The lady friend loved this one.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
The ginger comes through in the flavor and aroma, with hints of spices as well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Golden / amber, slight haze and a small off-white head. Aroma of the ginger (quite muted), malt and some caramel. Restrained taste of the ginger, medium bodied with some more fruit, Quite a dry finish. A bit too refined.
