Thanks to TheRealBastard for this one. Pours out a somewhat hazy light copper with what initially starts as a lively well carbonated white head, which quickly fades. Interesting aroma of funky barrel, brown sugar coated apples and some booze. Taste is complex, the alcoholic bite is there the whole way through but doesn’t take away. Apples, some earthy oak notes and alcohol in there also. Very interesting idea for this beer. I’d like to try another bottle of this at some point. Solid

Aug 18, 2008 Bottled. Pours copper colored with a diminishing white head and active carbonation. Sweet, candy-like aroma with lots of brandy and some biscuit notes. Hoppy. Sweet and very hot. It feels like a shot going down. Brandy is very strong in the flavor. Bready with some fruit notes. This is a big beer. It’s good but I’d really have to be in the mood for it. A sipper to be sure. Lingering alcohol and brandy taste. I wish I would have aged this for a while.

Aug 18, 2008 Clear in look and golden in color with a white head. Smell is of apple, brandy, sweet, alcohol, and fruits. Taste has plenty of alcohol, fruits, malt, and yeast. Pretty good.

Aug 7, 2008 Bottle sampled at RBSG ’08. Pours with a golden body topped by a thick hean with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet biter with heavy oak notes and a touch of apple as well as lots of alcohol esters. Full bodied and warming.

Aug 6, 2008 Pours hazy yellow with a small lacing white. Aroma is mild spiced, vanilla and caramel - almost classic triple aroma. Smooth and roasted caramel malty base flavour with a joining and lasting spiced finish.

Aug 5, 2008 i’m sure i’m crazy but this is a bottle from bu11zeye. very sweet, malty scent along with fruits and vanilla. this smells freakin awesome. i can not stand abbey tripels but this has definitely changed my mind. a nice thickness and a very nice apple flavor along with some yeast and malts. an excellent abbey tripel right here.
