3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
375 ml bottle acquired via trade from dmac, I think. Thanks, dude. Pours a richer reddish pink copper hue, some darkness in the middle. Good glowing pink copper edges. A firm haziness, bigger offwhite head atop dies to a thicker ring, laces well. The pinkish red notes from the florals and Hibiscus are appealing. Aromas are definite rose petals, florals, and tart hibiscus. Gentle wet wood, oak, and mellow vanilla. Earthy, roses, mellow sour citrusy nose. The florals, roses and hibiscus in particular, really offer some firm dominance. A mellow tartness, earthy florals, and growing oak character. A bit of yogurt, some bready malts. A bit of fuzziness, funk, and dust. Straw, gentle cobwebs. Initial is light in body, firmer dry tart front end, light and easily quaffable. Fuzzy florals, tart hibiscus, and gentle oak hit the palate. A bit effervescent and spritzy. The middle shows more floras, rose petals, pollen, earth. Tart hibiscus, gentle yogurt grows in this phase. Wet oak, some vanilla, gentle tannic quality. A bit more tart, some grapefruit rind and fruit meet the palate into the middle which works quite well for me. Tartness, florals, and mellowing oak into the backend. This really grows on me, the grapefruit cutting through as I settle in. It’s a decent sourness that offers some unique floral influence, firm flavors, and that telltale grapefruit and mellow oaky dryness, mellow brett and firm oaky qualities as we finish up. What seemed a bit ho-hum as I started finishes as something I quite enjoy. Nose is a bit fleeting and one dimensional but appearance is amazing and flavor really works for me to some extent. Good balance, nice spritzy tart feel. Nice beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Man, I hated this when it was fresh, but my how the times have changed. Beautiful rose-colored body leaves elegant, similarly toned head and lace.
Aroma is soured yeast, floral, saison-esque, pretty nice. Yet the taste is where the biggest change took place: rose hips and hibiscus faded considerably, replaced by soured (if subtle) fruit and yeast. Notes of watermelon jolly ranchers.
Quite complex and absolutely delicious. Truly surprised I like it this much, especially considering my distaste for it initially. Will be picking a few of these up.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pink pour with no head. Wine tones, hibiscus and other floral aromas, almost the aroma of a sour at the same time. Floral flavors shine through the flavor with some vinous and oak tones as undertones.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cloudy orange pour with a tall white head. Initial aroma is pleasant. Tart lemon, green apple, and citric tartness. Some floral notes, a bit of oak, wine, and grass. The flavor has a pronounced elderflower character, sour lemon and green apple, and wine. Charred oak, pronounced smoke, and a hint of bandaid after the initial tartness of the flavor.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from May ’12 batch. Pours a clear (first glass anyway) rose with a good soapy pink partially lasting head with big bubbles. The aroma is very floral, sharp acidic, and Brett funk. The flavor is sour fruit sweat with a moderately sharp cheese middle and yeasty end. The body is very light with only a bit of yeast tickle and sour pucker. This is a very unique and nice treat.
