Thanks boamr

Appearance: Pours a cloudy peachy rose color, with quickly subsided head action.

Aroma: Rose porpuri, ripe berry and spicy funk.

Taste: Earthy bitterness, floral, tannic. Finishes funky and tart.

Mouthful: A tad chalky, full bodied, modest carbonation.

Overall: Fun to try, but I prefer no fruit or fruit sours over botanicals.

375 ml bottle purchased at the brewery. Brewed on 5-2012. Pours a very unique pink. First I've seen this color in a beer. Great winey aroma with grapes, sour apples and tart cherries. About an inch or two of fizzy head. Mouthfeel is very fizzy, annoyingly so. Makes me burp, ewwwwwwww! Taste is very muted. Not too sour, not too tart. Decent blend of rosé water, flower petals and lemon. Tea is present too. Kind of like a baby sour in that its easily approachable. Basically, it's the Lindemans of sours but not as sweet. Not worth the $15 I paid for it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle (375 ml). Clear orange/amber with reddish reflects and a small white head. Aroma if really floral (hibiscus, roses) and fruity (citrus, red fruits) along with some spicy/peppery notes. Taste is moderately sour with, again, a lot of floral notes along with oak. Mouthfeel is moderately dry. Good carbonation. Good tart and refreshing beer!

375 ml bottle courtesy of Doodler (thanks Scott!) poured a clear pinkish amber with a small lasting pinkish head. Aromas of straw, barnyard funk, hibiscus, floral notes and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of straw, citrus, hibiscus, light barnyard and light floral notes with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering hibiscus finish.

375 mL bottle courtesy of jcartamdg. Cheers, Jason! Pours a hazy prange with pink highlights and a white head. Nose is floral as hell: elderflowers, rose hips, hibiscus all come out in their own way with some vinous tartness and oak. Flavor starts with light malt then a punch of floral aspects and then some oaky tartness and floral notes into the finish. Light in body and a great sour overall.

The beer is fairly hazy and appears a radiant light orange hue. The head is an inch and a half, appearing soft and white, bordering on pink. Lasting retention and ample lacing. An outstanding appearance. The nose brings forth scents of flowers, fresh garden vegetables, salad greens, pickles, cucumbers, roses/rose petals, all atop a nice bed of brett funk. The flavor is very floral. The rose character is the star of the show here. Definitely a wild ale, but not incredibly funky or sour. Hints of raspberry. Lingering oak and brettanomyces in the finish. The sourness increases as the beer is allowed to warm. I must say, I am really enjoying this beer. Creative and well executed. Kudos to the folks at Captain Lawrence. I am happy to have more of these. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-14-2012

[4714-20120818] Bottle. Sour yeasty flowers aroma. Hazy, light pink body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sour lemony dandelion flavour. Medium body. Really interesting! (9/4/7/4/15) 3.9

Final beer in the night of odd beers was this beauty by Cpt Lawrence. I really enjoyed this. Aroma was oak, berries, floral, and spices. Taste was lightly tart, could have been moreso, with really nice floral notes that worked well. Great.
