3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours golden with almost no head. Light citrus/hops aroma with the slightest cat piss in the background. Full, challenging flavor and body. Salty, bitter but big. Exciting. Fades toward a sweetness in the aftertaste, balancing the first attack. Overall my favorite Capt Lawrence. I’ll be taking home a Growler of this today!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Grapefruit, pine hop aroma. Appearance is gold and it's crystal clear with a white head with good head retention and lacing. Grapefruit hop flavor is upfront with a light caramel note on the end. Mouthfeel is medium with medium carbonation. Hop resin coats the mouth on the end leading to a dryness. Overall, it tastes like an old school ipa. Nothing special

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours very pale, almost straw golden with a thinner eggshell head that settles to a ring and leaves some clingy, soapy lace. Nose involves some grapefruit, a touch of pine resin, lightly toasted malt, some spice, some tropical fruit. Fairly sweet, pretty bitter. Lighter bodied, a bit oily, juicy, pretty active, with a drying hoppy bitter finish. A nice IPA, somewhat subtle, but very drinkable and tasty.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Drought. Reddish amber color, very small whitish head, subtle hops aroma, slightly sour hoppy taste, not hops-intense, low carbonation, long finish. A bit flat for an IPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of malt and bready. Some hops too but not excessive. Bready malt aroma dominates. Taste is malty with a bit of a hop balance. Cannot taste a dominant HO flavor. Not overly hoppy. Malt dominates. Light carbonation. Pretty good and I would drink it again, but for the amount if malt I feel like there could be more hop to balance.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle share at Proof. Pale gold with some white head and a good collar. Faint aroma of lemon, a touch of malty sweetness too. Light malt and some clean/spicy hop presence. Medium body and carbonation. Enjoyable but nothing I’d give another shot; sad because some Captain Lawrence brews are among my favorite.

Bottle shared thanks to Matt! Pours a translucent golden orange with thin lacy white head. Aroma is slight citrus and lots of bready grain, taste follows. Easy to drink, medium carbonation, almost more of a pale.
