COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Don't let the golden color fool you - this isn't your father's lite beer! Brewed with imported German malts and US-grown hops, this beer is a full-flavored introduction to craft-brewed beer. We add the hops late in the boil, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the hops without an aggressive bitterness. Sensory Profile: Aromas of orange, spice, and green grass. Clean malt-dominated flavor, with a subdued bitterness playing in the background of the aromas of this beer. Food Pairing: A great match with fish and chicken, both sautéed and grilled, especially with citrus and herbs preparations. Shellfish steamed in Liquid Gold is a match made in beer heaven.

29.04.06 Tap at TAPNY. Another winner from this up and coming brewery. Lightly hazed yellow golden. Pineapple and yeasty aromas are bolstered by a good dose of grassy hops at the front of the sip and refreshing maltiness. Lovely pale session Belgian remenicsent of Lunacy, but better.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2006 I wasn’t a big fan of ths beer from the start. Waitress was ignorant to the style of this beer and there was no infomation on the tap. But it didn’t strike me as a belgian at all. Light in color and flavor

growler pours a lightly hazy, tan-tinted gold, with a very nice white head that retains well and leaves good lace. nicely balanced nose contains clean, crackery malt aromas with a complex fruit notes of banana and light pear. a floral hopping wafts over-top. flavor starts with a sweet, clean maltiness that becomes round and fruity as you drink. finish is spicy with notes of black pepper and hop pungency. easy-to-drink beer is pleasantly not a phenol-bomb, as often this style is.

Draft- poured a slightly hazy gold color. spicy aroma, mainly pepper and corriandor but notes of hops as well. Taste was well balanced between sweet malts(orange flavor) and pepper notes. Bartender put a orange segment which brought out a more citrusy presence.

Hand bottle: Courtesy of Eyedrinkale via trade. Aroma is somewhat wit-like. Yeast, coriander, citrus, banana, and orange peel are all present. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a small soapy white head. Orange/orange peel and banana up front. Moderate yeastiness and lemon in the middle with a peppery and grassy hop finish. I can see the tripel comparisons. Flavors intensify as it warms.

On tap at the Belgian Room. Gold and clear in color with a little white head. Fruity and sweet aroma. Bananas, and apricots. Fruity flavor. Citrusy coriander notes. As it warmed up it tasted more like a tripel. Medium bodied. Finish is sweet. Nice beer.

Draft at The Belgian Room. Light gold with a small head. Taste is on the sweet side with some banana, orange and honey. Nicely carbonated as the bubbles wipe off any stickiness. Tastes a bit like a tripel.
