Don't let the golden color fool you - this isn't your father's lite beer! Brewed with imported German malts and US-grown hops, this beer is a full-flavored introduction to craft-brewed beer. We add the hops late in the boil, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the hops without an aggressive bitterness. Sensory Profile: Aromas of orange, spice, and green grass. Clean malt-dominated flavor, with a subdued bitterness playing in the background of the aromas of this beer. Food Pairing: A great match with fish and chicken, both sautéed and grilled, especially with citrus and herbs preparations. Shellfish steamed in Liquid Gold is a match made in beer heaven.

Handbottled 12 oz bottle from mystery swap 2.0 (thanks ty5592!).Pours hazy gold with a tiny head. Nose is VERY spicy...coriander, pepper, ginger. Tastes like it smells and ends a little sweet. Lots of pepper in this one! Body is medium, carbonation is low. Too spicy for my taste.

Golden color with a light bready-citrus aroma. Taste is light, yet smooth and sweet - citrus, doughy malts, and a light but pleasant hop profile. way better than the "light offerings" of most brewers.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2011 light sour taste of vegetables and sweet wheat beer that is pungent .sweet. long straw aftertaste and a good full mouthfeel. Nice Belgian type spice aroma of pepper and coriander with yeasty mouthfeel that morphs into different flavors like hop pine foam.

Very pleasing Belgian golden ale with a mellow malti character and balanced hop finish. Very clean. The appearance is somewhat deceiving. The brew is cealr golden yellow and looks kind of like another boring American macro, but one whiff and you know something else is in that glass. Well done. A good chickn accompaniment

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Herbal hops, hay-like maltiness and milky spiciness all dance within the quenching body, offering enough complexity to keep the tastebuds interested, and enough leniency to work itself into a long session.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the pale yellow (rather witbier like, I must add).
-The spicy, piney hop blend is quite alluring.
-The prickly, tiny bubbles and Belgian yeast profile (tropical fruit!) show the beer’s lineage quite efficiently.
-That grassy bitter finish is somewhat reminiscent of absinth.
-This middle world between Pilsner, Belgian Ale, and Witbier can surely be a delicious introductory beer for neophytes.

On tap at Tap NY and at the brewery tap room.

On tap at a promo night. Well-balanced hops and plenty of flavor. I would definitely drink it again.

On tap at Mile Square in Hoboken. Light yellow color hides the fact that this beer is very flavorful. Very sweet, similar to Leffe. Definitely sessionable.

Had this on tap at the Stirling Hotel.Poured a nice golden color with a small, quickly dissappearing head.Aromas were of yeast, malt and floral notes. The taste had some lemon, banana, some sweet maltiness. The lacing was amazing on the glass. At 6% it was pretty easy drinking.Loved it!

Tap. Pours a light golden yellow with a nice foamy head aboard. Nose is bread and citrus. Flavors are muted lemon notes with bread. A nice merger of sweet and off-sweet/not puckering sour. Very nice, best of the 3 CL’s I tried.
