Commercial Description:
Don't let the golden color fool you - this isn't your father's lite beer! Brewed with imported German malts and US-grown hops, this beer is a full-flavored introduction to craft-brewed beer. We add the hops late in the boil, allowing you to enjoy the flavor and aroma of the hops without an aggressive bitterness. Sensory Profile: Aromas of orange, spice, and green grass. Clean malt-dominated flavor, with a subdued bitterness playing in the background of the aromas of this beer. Food Pairing: A great match with fish and chicken, both sautéed and grilled, especially with citrus and herbs preparations. Shellfish steamed in Liquid Gold is a match made in beer heaven.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Gold in color with a white head. Pithy citrus aroma. Grassy and spicy. Light hops and balanced malt character. Not great but well done. Bubbly. Has a weird, metallic malty note to it, but other than that, its nice.

Pours a murky yellow into the glass with white head. Aroma is citrusy and spicy like coriander. Taste is like witbier but with more hop bitterness and less spice. Seems like they wanted to make a beer like a witbier. I don’t understand why they didnt just make one.

Draft at House of Brews. Very good. Pours slightly cloudy golden body. Aroma is like a lesser Fin du Monde. Taste is citrus, malt, and very smooth.

Gotmos got a keg of this last night for a party, which gave me the opportunity to rate this "properly." Since this beer is tap only drinking only 14-16oz in a bar can’t possibly provide enough of a sample to understand the beer. So I sat there trying to drink this beer from the beginning of the keg to the end, the really understand the nature of this brew. It pours well looking enough with a clear, bright golden color and a large strong head. The beer is definitely Belgian inspired with a nice yeast sweetness followed by peach skin and orange like flavors. The hops play a background role and contribute light citrus and light sweet hoppiness to back up the Belgian aspect. The none Belgian qualities are represented in a much cleaner malt profile. Its easy to drink, I mean I tried to sit for hours and drink the whole container so I could not "cheat": a rating out of it but eventually I had to pass out.
1/2 keg from Gotmos, mason jar.

Thanks to Spacecoyote’s crew at Weyerbacher for pouring this one. Pour out golden color with a moderate off white head. Aroma is of lots of fruit, banana, yeast and some citrus. Taste is nice and well balanced, citrus, sweet fruits and some yeast and slight spice also.

Had it on tap the other night. There are some nice flavors, but unfortunately they are masked by just as many off flavors. The beer is too bitter for its own good.
