tap at RnH - I’m guessing they call this ’Outer Limit’ because it’s pushing the boundary of what actually can still be considered beer, before moving into malt vinegar territory.
Dark, murky brown pour. Nose is port wine and oak, actually pretty good. But the body is acetic bomb and funky lactic acids. The tarts sticks to lips long after the drink is gone. This might be good for cooking with, I guess. The finish is puckering without any sweetness. I can’t believe Cap Law has the balls to call this beer.

On tap at RnH for bronite. Brownish-red pour with zero head. Aroma is airy, wafty grapes/wine and a very definite tartness. Taste is sharp fruit and balsamic vinegar to the max. Palate is pretty complex with berries, cherries and a ton of acidity. Most acidic beer I’ve ever tried, but somehow not overly sour. More tingly than hot.

Hellllllo????? Dang this sucker is a smack to the face. Literally sour grapes, raisens prunes and cherry. Sharp acidic finish that tickles the throat.

Draft at rattle. Pours a deep red body with no lacing. Aroma is balsamic vinegar and cherry. Mouthfeel is insanely aggressive tart, feels like someone is pinching my eyeballs. Notes of vinegar, balsamic cherries, tartness, and a hint of chocolate? Brutal sour.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2011 Tap at RnH during craft beer week. Aroma of tart plum, leather, cherry. Flavor is overwhelming acetic acid, almost painful to drink, but there is complexity in the finish. Melon and balsamic.
Edit: I can’t even finish half a glass of this stuff.
