On tap at EBF 3/16/13. Chocolatey roasty stout with light to moderate Belgian yeasty phenols. I would have liked a cleaner yeast, but that’s my hang up not the brewers.

On tap at the brewery. Pours brown to black with a medium sized tanned beige head. Cocoa, roast, chocolate, toast. Medium bodied, roast and cocoa, soft Belgian yeast cocoa and warm cereal. More vibrant cocoa into the finish. Nice one Matt.

FIRST rating of this. On draft at Captain Lawrence. A fairly astringent and mellow ale, with some cocoa bitterness. Pretty good, but not the best chocolate brew I’ve had.
