3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Location: Draft at Texas Arizona, 3/8/13
Aroma: It has a nice, clean, citrus and pine hop nose to it with some malty notes
Appearance: This one pours a clear gold-orange color with a white head and some light lace
Flavor: The flavor is hoppy and clean, not super bitter, just hoppy, with some clean malts
Palate: It has a medium body, it drinks quite cleanly and nicely, with a smooth, hoppy finish
So glad that we can get Captain Lawrence in NJ now. Anyway, this is a really good IPA, but I wouldn’t expect anything else from Captain Lawrence.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft. Golden pour with white lacing. Hoping this is somehow a bad keg, aroma is lame for an ipa, and flavor is lacking fresh hop tones.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap for samples and growler fills at the tasting room. Pours an almost clear gold with a thin white head. Soft sweet citrus hops on the nose. Touches of lemon, gentle sweetness and light musk. Very smooth and easy drinking, lovely balance of bright citrus with earthy pithy grapefruit. Long grapefruit and quinine bitterness into the finish. Very nice stuff.
