2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pros: Has some positive things going on. Nice oak character. Fairly long finish. Didnít gush.
Cons: Really overly sour. Doesnít have the softness, nuance and balance I prefer in the style. Harshly sour, masking so many other elements, like the wood and fruit. I like this style but this shows no finesse.

Poured a pale rust red color with aromas of cranberry, oak, light raspberries and some sour jam qualities. Flavors match the aromas with some nice sour and tartness solid overall could drink a lot if this.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lovely rose-hued, hazed pour with a clinging ring of pink-tinted white. Gravel, balsamic vinegar, sherry and cheese rind in the nose; funky and angular, with expansive depth. Dry chocolate introduces another level; sweat sock like mold and cheese notes detract. The flavor often sings with gorgeously layered fruit; blood orange, cranberry, and red grape are enveloped in elegant spicing and quiet density. The palate, warm and gently acidic, offers tenacity knowingly restrained; acid level is firm at the finish, with a kinder softness about it. Pleasant, detailed and calmer sour overall.
