Bottle. Moderate roasted and caramel for the malt, heavy pine and grapefruit peel for the hops, light soap for the yeast, with dried light fruits and a hint of sulfur in the background. Head is small, frothy, white with good lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy amber. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately sweet and heavily bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a fizzy carbonation and a moderately alcoholic and lightly astringent finish. Definitely more powerful than an average DIPA, and full of all things hoppy.

Rich golden color with nice white head. Aroma is there but not overbearing. Hop flavor pushes through and well outshines the bitterness, which I like. Medium body with good drinkability to it for a big DIPA. Not my favorite of the night but definitely not the worst. I would order again.

Pours a deep amber with a medium dense white head which lingers......aroma of citrus, orange peel, melon.....taste is dense bread, booze, slight heat, syrupy mouthfeel but finishes very clean with little hop taste and slight bitterness. Either very well rounded or missing something, not sure which.

Pours a yellow gold colour with nice white lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit and malt. Mango and citrus hops, quite a nice beer.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 5/10/15

Aroma: The aroma has some orange/citrus, a bit of stale hop, and notes of rubbing alcohol
Appearance: It pours a rather hazy orange color with a thick foam of off-white head and heavy lace
Flavor: Tastes much the same, lightly sweet, slight alcohol, and moderate to strong bitterness
Palate: This one is medium bodied, with a soft carbonation, and a long, dry finish
Overall Impression: This one sort of missed the mark. The hop strength and depth of flavor just don’t come through well enough. Hey, at least it is a great looking beer. I’m generally a fan of Captain Lawrence, but this was a miss for me.

Very acidic hops, malty, rindy, bitter and resiny has a floral punch. Strong stuff boozy ... Finish is smooth and bitter with a long lingering burning bite ... Interesting stuff big beer for sure

Bottle. Pours clear yellow/gold with white head. Aroma is balanced malts (pale, biscuit, light caramel) and hops (floral, citrus, and light tropical fruit) with a touch of spice.
