3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Six pack from Julio’s. Bottle says "Sun Block IPA". Website says this is a new and improved recipe. Pours out a slightly hazy light golden color. Lacy off white head. Dry earthy hop bitterness. Very little citrus. Somewhat muddled hop profile. Sticky finish.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours light orange with a half finger white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, wheat bready, floral hops, some tropical fruits, and some faint coconut. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a slightly watery mouthfeell and a semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty wheat ale that definitely has a summery vibe to it.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Nice citrusy aromas for a Wheat Ale. Pours a nice, fairly clear golden color with plenty of head. A good tasting summer brew!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Keg Room (West 36th) somewhere in 2013. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of floral hops and weed/dank. Taste is a bit (too) sweet and offers some bananas, pepper and caramel. Lightly bitter. Body is medium and carbonation almost through the roof. OK but certainly not memorable, I’m not even sure I was served what I asked for when I compare with ratings from the same timeframe so I will certainly give it another go sometime.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Appearance: The body has a Pale yellow color body and a hazy look. This is topped with a small white head. It fades quickly and only makes a little spoty lacing at the top of the glass.
Smell: It has a lot of grassy and floral hops with bready wheat maltiness backing it up.
Tast / palate: The flavor starts off with a light bready almost sourdough like maltiness up front and then it brings solid floral and grassy hops with some light unripe pineapple notes. The finish has a good soild hop bitterness. Carbonation and the feel is very lively.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a very cloudy, dark golden yellow color with paler straw-like edges and a half finger foam head that quickly settles into a thin ring. Minimal spotty lacing left behind.
Floral earthy hop aroma with hints of grass and soil countered by subtle citrus, bready yeast and pale malt. The hop profile is one dimensional and lacking in the citrus quality that the label promises. Mostly grassy and resinous with faint lemon pith character. The wheat malts are pretty faint as well with subtle hints of bread and banana. Pale biscuit like malts are more prominent.
Light body with spritzy carbonation and strong earthy hop bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes into a very dry finish. Dry and slightly sticky with lots of earthy soil and grassy pine needle flavor. There’s also some zesty spice that gives off some peppery coriander flavor. A bit more citrus character than in the nose but it seems like it’s coming more from the wheat beer portion than the hop profile. Some bready yeast and biscuit malt followed by tart lemon juice and sourdough bread. Overall, I wasn’t a fan of this beer. It’s lacking in complexity and the flavors clash with each other making it kind of harsh and tough to drink.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright yellow color with a huge creamy yellow-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart, citrus, fruity hops and a hint of pepper. The flavor was dryish, tart and chalky with citrus, perfume and vague fruity hops. Medium length finish. Light to medium body. Ok.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thin bright white head of fine bubbles. Weak aroma. Light lemon and citrus along with some light grains. Color is a hazy bright gold. Fizzy in the mouth and quite refreshing. More citrus, light malts and grains and a moderate bitterness the sneaks up on you late and dries out your mouth. Finishes pretty clean and light bitterness. A good summertime brew. Wish I had the sunblock oiut with me today crabbing. Brings new meaning to the word red-neck!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pretty good not your Daddy’s American Wheat. Lots of flavor, lots of hoppiness. Big malty presence. The wheat effects seem quite subdued actually. A bit of bubblegum and some floral presence.
