12 oz bottle courtesy of BlackIPA. Thanks, Shawn. Pours a more hazy golden applesauce hue. Natural glow, a bit dulled with some gold, orange, and yellow. A cakey bright white head atop stays a firm size, laces ok overall. Dulled, a mellow carbonation. Aromas are wheaty malts, bread, soapy and earthy hops with a bit of floral, gentle lemon. Faint grapefruit rind, stronger lemon, good florals. Nice hop profile, gentle bread yeast, dough, and straw. Pretty solid hopping on the nose. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some bready malts, citrus fruuit shows some tart citrus, lemon and grapefruit juice. Straw, grainy elements. Some soap, fruit into the middle. Bready and grainy. As we settle in the hops get a bit more gentle. Bitter florals, grass, some fruity hops, lemon. Touch of yeast, bready and flaked wheat malts, straw and some graininess. Some gentle citrusy grapefruit, dryness, and fruit. A bit of bitterness, dry finish. A bit mellow in flavor. A pretty beer, a decent nose especially on pour. Solid summery wheat with some American hop fruity citrus kick. Solid. Liquid Gold, probably a better beer overall, but I think I’d rather drink this.. Especially fresh.

This was beer number two of my NYC trip. I try not to be in the habit of reviewing RateBeer prior to ordering. I think I was a bit infatuated with the idea of ordering my first Captain Lawrence when I decided on this beer. In retrospect, I should have had our very knowledgeable server make a suggestion. Poured very light, almost lager-like. The citrus flavor was very faint. I enjoy the combination of low ABV and great taste that can be found in wheat ales. Unfortunately this beer skimped on the flavor. Draft - The Blind Tiger - New York, NY

On tap in a weizen glass. Pours cloudy golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of wheat and pale malts plus a decent amount of floral hops. Flavor the same with a nice blend and a lot of hops for the style. Average texture. A good wheat ale.

Hazy gold pour, small ring of head. Aroma somewhat subdued with citrus fruit, yeast, wheat, somewhat bready. Wheat followed by lemon bitterness. Grassy, lighter spices but the hops keep taking over as i dig for more complexity. Drank nicely on a very warm afternoon. Lighter bodied.

Poured from a bottle into glass. Pours a hazy gold with a small fizzy white head that thins out quick. Smells super citrusy. Orange and lemons, grassy hops. Decent amount of carbonation, hops up front and that citrus which turns into a little bready malt finish. A little bland, but definitely good for a session.

Bottle pours clear straw/ golden yellow capped by an active white head that leaves lacing. Nose of grapefruit. Taste begins semi sweet but is quickly washed away by bitterness. Grapefruit and other citrus linger on the finish. Pretty refreshing and enjoyable. Would be able to lift alot of these on a hot summer day.

Draft at blue monk, light blonde pour. Light aroma of lemon peel. Grapefruit flavor, citrusy, light sourness. Medium mouthfeel. Ok

No aroma to speak of, nothing noteworthy in the taste. Very drinkable, but not worth craft brew $ IMHO. I could have had a blue light

This witte poured a very light golden color with a 2" head that lingered. The nose was very light with hints of hops. It starts very light with only a small hint of wheat. The mouthfeel is very light and crisp and it finishes with just enough hoppiness. It is a perfect beer for the hopheads who want a wheat beer on a nice hot day.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a puffy white head. Aromas of citrus hops and wheat. Very nice. Taste is bitter, dry sunshine. Hoppy as all get out. Impressive, actually. Finishes dry and bitter. Wow.
