fredandboboflo (306), East Setauket, New York, USA Apr 14, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Aroma of all sorts of oranges, flesh and rind. Coriander comes in a little later. Flavor more of the oranges, I can still smell them. The wheat comes and goes, but all about the oranges. Light, almost juice-like body. I rather liked it.
rds (70), USA Jul 17, 2008 Sunny golden body with a three finger tapped white head. Sure, I note the citrus and light spice, all very subtle. A real fine summer white beer. beerbill (1162), Laurel, New York, USA Jul 16, 2008 Growler filled at Superstar Beverage in Huntington. Pours a clear gold with a thin-moderate white head that lasted through the first third of the glass. Pleasant aroma of wheat, coriander, and orange. The flavor is equally good with again wheat, coriander and orange. Medium bodied. A refreshing, solid wit. blklab2007 (507), Connecticut, USA Jun 14, 2008 draft from the brewery has a light straw color with some light sediment suspended. aroma is wheat, light spices, floral, and faint citrus. flavor is good but again more wheat beer than anything else, spice, citrus zest, but seems a little grainy. an easy to put down summer beer. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 12, 2008 Dract at CL. Nothing wrong with this wit. Pours a light yellow hazy body. Some spices, orange peal, other citrus flavors and wheat. No abv or real hop character. not bad. Biddle_Brau (86), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Jun 11, 2008 Disappointed with this brew from Capt. Lawrence although I think the bar didn’t do it justice serving this as warm as they did. Wasn’t crisp, didn’t have much Wit characteristics. I didn’t know it was a Wit until I came to RB to add my rating (I wasn’t sure what it was when I ordered). Sounds like others had a better experience but I didn’t find this to be a beer I would order again.
