As the sun starts to peek out from around the dark winter clouds it is a clear reminder that brighter days lie ahead. Brewed with pale & wheat malts for a refreshing backbone & hopped with some bright citrusy American hops this beer will help you fight off the sun all season long.

Had on tap at the brewhouse. For a witbier, this was pretty far from being white. I would have classified it as just a wheat ale. It was lightly citric with a full, wheaty nose. Coriander and clove-like spice were also apparent. The flavour was actually crisp and actually refreshing. A nice honey malt backbone balanced out grassy, herbal hops and subtle spice. It was surprisingly medium bodied with gentle, tingly carbonation.

Growler provided by kmweaver. Clear golden body with a small white head. Sweet and fruity nose with corriander and herbal hops. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter with plenty of spicy herbal hops, corriander, honey and dough. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation.

(growler, thanks kmweaver) Small white head atop clear straw body. Aroma is moderately sweet, honey, banana, some bubblegum, light straw. Taste is medium sweet, malt, some hay -- not a whole lot there. Watery light body, easy drinking.

Growler, courtesy of yobdoog. Thanks, Trevor! Pours a clear, medium-golden color; bright white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Solid, crisp presence of bananas, yellow fruits, and dry cloves in the aroma; pleasant, flawless witbier nose, if singular. Medium mouthfeel: surprisingly bland and a touch watery in the mouthfeel; tasty, certainly, but a significant drop from the aroma; basic sugary maltiness, some bananas and cloves; crisp, with a drying clove note; not a lot there. Medium finish: breadiness, bananas, and some drying cloves and spice.

Draft at the Blind Tiger. Pale yellow pour with a gold hue and a little bit of white head. Aroma is banana, spices, and sweet light belgian malt. Flavor is the same, fruity, with belgian spicing and sweet malt. Dry finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden orange with a nice, creamy white head. Aroma and flavor intensely of orange rind and some citrus and spices. This was not quite like any other witbiers Iíve had, but it was decent.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma of all sorts of oranges, flesh and rind. Coriander comes in a little later. Flavor more of the oranges, I can still smell them. The wheat comes and goes, but all about the oranges. Light, almost juice-like body. I rather liked it.

on tap-pours a white head that laces and hazy yellow color. Aroma is hops-lemon, wheat, faint coriander. Taste is hops-lemon, wheat, coriander, orange peel, just a bit much on the coriander. OK effervescence.

From a fresh growler purchased at Captain Lawrence. Pours yellow and hazy with a white head. Smells of citrus and has a dry peppery bite to it. Taste is peppery and dry, but doesnít possess the qualities I like in a witbier. Decent, but not enough of a departure from the liquid gold.

UPDATED: MAY 23, 2008 Beautiful Golden Yellow color in the glass at CL. Sweet wheat aroma and some citrus fruits. Taste seem to be the same as aroma. Nice wheat with mild sweet light malt and fruit with a little hop but not too bitter. Had the first batch and this one turned out much better IMO. 1st batch had some lingering bitterness but now is way more balanced and smooth with the fruit aspects I wanted.
