This witte poured a very light golden color with a 2" head that lingered. The nose was very light with hints of hops. It starts very light with only a small hint of wheat. The mouthfeel is very light and crisp and it finishes with just enough hoppiness. It is a perfect beer for the hopheads who want a wheat beer on a nice hot day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a puffy white head. Aromas of citrus hops and wheat. Very nice. Taste is bitter, dry sunshine. Hoppy as all get out. Impressive, actually. Finishes dry and bitter. Wow.

Bottle - pours clear corn yellow with a white head. Wish I hadnít said that because now Iíve got the corn thing stuck in my head which is not a good thing for beer. Drat now its ruined.

Bottle from Boonton Liquor. Pours golden with a thin white head. A bit of floral bits on the nose. Some hop flavor on the tongue. Not really brewed to style.

beer soda in a good way! hop character of pine and flowery citrus passes and reveals a nice sweet malty mid palate with a soda lemon citrus that ends clean except for a hop and 7 up burp. some wheat in the mid palate as well for good body and a touch of chalk.

Bottle, from Half Time beverage. Good aroma,.sweet. little yeasty spice. Soft orange, citrus. Toasty wheat. Tad hazed yellow golden color. Bitter sweet Flavor. Medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Nice, certainly not a.classic wit. Label says hoppy wheat beer. Donít see it listed on the Captain Lawrence website.

Draft @ RnH during Mikkeller event. Golden orange pour with some white head. Orange, some light spice, wheat, almost a brett light touch. Decent for what it is.

(Old BA rate - tap) frothy generous white head that held well; hazier, brighter light yellow color. Wheaty and yeasty; some spiciness; light fruitiness and some bananas. Touch of tart ripe fruit; mellows to a sweeter/spicier flavor, banana shows up a gain Lighter, but still a good body; nice carbonation; dry chalky finish. Nice drinking; refreshing and interesting enough. Overall, a decent summertime brew.

Growler filled at the Flaming Fury release party. Appearance: Cloudy pale straw body with minimal white crown that rapidly dissipates and shows little lace. Smell: wheat and a muted orange/lemon/herbal note. Taste: same as smell. the finish is sweeter than the amount of wheat tartness in the nose led me to assume it would be. Mouthfeel: on the light side of medium bodied...fairly appropriate for the style. Moderate amount of carbonation makes it moderately enjoyable. Drinkability: Quite sessionable Not an amazing example of the style but good for an American attempt and a beer Iíd love to have at any local bbq. Serving type: growler Reviewed on: 10-29-2009
