The hopped up, souped up version of our seasonal beer Sun Block. Brewed with wheat malt and lightly dry hopped with Cascade, this beer packs refreshment and a punch.

Draft sample at the brewery. Pours a cloudy gold with thin white head and lacing. Fresh pineapple, citrus, peppery wit yeast. Never a big fan of wheat beers but this is really hoppy and refreshing. Would be great in the summer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Bright pineapple, citrus. Soft wheat. Crisp bright hops and pineapple, lovely grapefruit bitterness. Though it’s 7% it drinks super easy. Very welcome variation on the basic bland wheat beer for the summer time.

4oz pour is a slightly hazy dark gold with some lacing white head. Nose has a little cotton candy, light bubble gum, lightly vinonus, yeast, soap, perfume. Flavor is sweet, light banana, light bubblegum, lemon, flat orange soda, bread. Bitter, full finish. Kinda weird.

FIRST rating of this. Now here is an unusual wheat brew, one that is well-hopped and flavorful, not your typical bland, summer, yellow, crackery thirst quencher. This is a souped up version of a witte, but the spice presence is subtle, maybe not even there at all. Pleasantly sweet, hefeweizen-like wheat flavor along with snappy West Coast hops - Super Sun is a really good release, and I haven’t had many like it.
