COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with our German ale yeast, lightly toasted malts and enhanced with a blend of winter spices this beer should do the trick. Malty, rich, and a touch spicy.

Bottle at home. Clear amber pour. Aroma is dominated by a lagerish cooked vegetable smell. Also some cinnamon and clove. Grainy lager flavors, kind of harsh, light spice. Nah.

Bottle from JT, thanks buddy! Dark reddish brown pour, with two fingers of frothy white head. Aroma is light malts, mild spices, not much else...pretty underwhelming. Taste is light grains, followed by some mild tartness with prickly carbonation and a sharp thelma and Louise ending. I wouldnít say its offensive but itís certainly a below average beer.

12oz. Tasted at RBSG grand tasting post-tasting. Clear amber color. Thin of-white ring of head. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light rough texture. Caramel malt. Bigger spice taste. Moderate sweet, moderate spicy. Tastes OK. Meh. I feel like even if this was fresh it still wouldnít be my speed.

Growler. Pours a lightly hazed amber with a very thin linen white head that is gone after the first sip and leaves no lace. Pleasant aroma of malt with a touch of sweetness. No spice detected. The flavor is malt, caramel, and bread that has been lightly toasted. Again, no evidence of spice. Well rounded mouthfeel. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Medium bodied.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 4/13/14

Aroma: The aroma is bready malts, dough, and some winter type spices
Appearance: It pours a murky reddish-brown color with a fizzy beige head and light lace
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, doughy malts, some spice, and a mild hop bitterness
Palate: The feel is okay, with a light-medium body, average-plus carbonation, and a mild dry finish
Overall Impression: Finally spring is here, and since itís 78 degrees outside right now and Iím drinking this on my patio I should probably finish off whatever winter beers I have left...
Anyway, as for the beer itself, Iíll say it is solid. I canít go much above solid, but it is solid for sure. Still, Iíd like to see them go beyond this with their standard/12 oz beers, as their bomber beers are usually quite good.

This one poured a light brown color with an off white head. Aroma was of light spices, toast and caramel. Falvor was similar, not overly sweet, but fairly bland and uninviting.

A clear copper body with a bone color head. Good retention and lace. Aroma had a mild caramel malts. Mild nutmeg and some allspice. Flavor was rather bland. Flavor was a bit of a disappointment. A little sweetness from the malts. Some nutmeg and a bit of orange peel, I think. Very mild all around. Light on the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle courtesy of Kuwait Airways. Coppery brown with a fine slender cap. Heavily sesame-accented aroma with cooked brown sugar and dank English woods. Dull dirty English/German keller flavour exactly like a guzzled prematch pint of Cottage in The Crown. Mainly sesame, hazelnut, finely sieved cocoa and decaying leaf matter. Another minor stinker from The Captain, certainly not one worth dragging across the water. Even with 92kg to play with.

Bottle from BOTW. Caramel malt nose, like an Alt somewhat, chocolate, herbal spicing, orange, mint maybe. solid malt, not so sweet, spicy. Chocolate and caramel, herbs, cinnamon, nutmeg maybe. bitter, slightly astringent finish. Clean enough, but the spices are a bit much. Well, thatís what it aims for. Not my cup of tea, but not bad.

Bottle at home. Pours brown with off white head. Nose and taste of nutmeg, mint leaves, all spice, cinnamon, toasted malts and light grassy hop. Medium body. All of the spices are quite light. The mint stands out for me.

Touch of sediment in the glass, despite my best efforts, leading to a rapidly receding off-white head and a chestnut brown body.
Crystal-like malts in the nose are candy-like and lightly sweet, with a bit of dough (yeast) and some spicy cinnamon/nutmeg-like notes that are light and reserved. Bready/toasty malts almost add melanoidin like tartness...but not quite.
Toffee, caramel, honey and less toastiness in the flavor than in the nose, surprisingly. Itís much more soft, sweetly malted and lighter than expected. Soft, gently carbonated texture gives it an almost velvety feel and it goes down quickly and easily with a good balance achieved between light but noticeable spicing (cinnamon, black pepper, brown sugar, that sort of thing) and sweet, bready malts. The maltiness in their beers is soft, somewhat rich and flavorful but mostly well-attenuated. It goes well here, and this ends up being a pretty standard, refreshing quaffer. Thanks to Jtclockwork for the bottle!
